How fast have you gone??

In your c32, and then whats the fastest youve done in any car (not on the track)

Ive done 135mph in my c32, will go faster just havent had the chance. 135, was nothing for this machine.

I also did 145mph in my old car, a c36 amg, felt great.

Fastest ive done is 175mph, in a friends ferrari 355 challenge.

Top speeds so far

C32.........150+
CBR900...160
ZX11.......170
My C32 was still pulling hard through 150 when I backed out of it.Both bike speeds were calculated from the tach rpm's,as their speedos were optimistic by about 10-15 mph.

C230 Kompressor
Exclamation

C230 133s mph
S 55 130s
SL600 150s
318i 120s
328is 130s
A4 130s
ML320 120s

Cherokee 105
Pathfinder 115
Quest 100
SL1 110

I would like to get my C230 Kompressor in the 150s but I havent found a place suitable yet without going to the track, because I have no time currently to do so, with school and work.Plus I live in America so its tough with all the cops, and especially the 2nd worst traffic in the country makes it even tougher to find long open stretches of road. I like to take the crappy cars to the limits to see just how good a driver I am and what I am really capable of, and plus its just funny being in a minivan or a jeep pasing everyone on the road.

If your C32 is stock, the MTM S3 S4 is faster. I've actually driven and raced against a couple different tuned S4's and concluded that my C32 will keep up with a stage 1 S4 to 100 mph and out accelerate it after that. However, an S4 with exhaust/downpipes added should take us out at any speed. FYI, all these S4's were 6-speeds so I can't say how the tip-tronic S4's would do. My advice for racing S4's is to start from a roll. From a stop, quattro gives them a tremendous advantage over RWD to launch.

AMG fan, thanks for the info. I am suprised u found a stage 1 s4 as fast to 100mph. I drove my buddies when he only had stage 1, and i felt that my c32 was quite a bit faster. Now with his stage 3, i dont know (never raced), although his car does feel quite a bit faster then when he had stage 1.

Seeing that you are from Finland my only guess would be that either the Euro spec C32 or S4 differs from their US model siblings. Otherwise, the software your friend is running isn't as strong. What differences does your Euro C32 have compared to the US model? I've heard there is no top speed governor. Any truth to that?

Of course there are many variables that determine who is faster. For example, a very good driver driving a STOCK S4 will beat a STOCK C32 if the C32 driver messes up behind the wheel. I've raced faster cars on the street where the driver obviously doesn't know how to drive his/her car and this has resulted in me finishing first. This being said, a stage 1 S4, if driven properly can hang with my C32 until 100 mph, but after I pull away. If you want to compete with your buddy's stage 3 S4, install a chip & pulley you'll see around 400 hp at the crank to match or possibly beat him. Otherwise, get the AMG supercharged V8

158

158 in the C32 before the limiter shut me down... she still wanted to go, go, go!

The C32 is rock solid and relatively quiet at that speed - amazing.

Amgfan, I will be purchasing a renntech ecu and pulley (not yet, but soon). A stock 2001 s4 would have a VERY hard time beating a stock c32 even if the c32 driver lit up the tires. The c32 is just to fast and would make up ground very quikly.

I once took my SLK320 up to 130mph on Alligator Alley.

When I slowed down to 80mph, it felt like I was going 10mph... lol..

Doing 180 mph is a bit scary because the car becomes "lighter" and you need to have some room.
I did it on 3 lane lit highway at night with nodoby around. Luckely no cops hiden because we have 120 kmh limit (+- 75 mph)
I have got loads of mods and the car pumps 440 HP

I've done 170mph twice in my C32. Once on I95 leaving Daytona in Febuary.
The other time I was comming back from the Grand Prix of Canada racing a Ferrari 360 in Vermont. I won by around 50'. I was dissapointed that my car would not do 180mph. The rear end gets a little light at speed.

You are a nut doing that in a cobra...I had a '97 500 rwhp cobra and it never felt solid, especially over 130....

I had a 300 rwhp '92 coupe with griggs suspension, now that car felt tight right up to its limit...155-160

On I-95??? You probably had to dodge every freakin truck unless you were going home in the middle of the night.
