My DCAI is for sale in the classified section, $650.00 shipped to your door. Well worth it!

So I'm gathering from this thread that the Needswings intake will give you a lot more top end, right?

I'm looking into getting one now. I went to MIR dragway last night and some a$$hole backed into my parking spot at some point and ran over all my stuff including the front engine cover with the star emblem. Also shattered my buddy's tablet and broke 2 of his golf clubs, but that's besides the point...

Anyway, instead of buying a new front engine cover which is probably a good amount of $, I may as well get an intake and this is looking like the best option, but I never really saw anything official from OP on how much just the intake does. Most other reviews on here I noticed have other engine mods too.

Got 6 runs in last night, only thing done is 2nd cats/res cut out. 13.228 @ 103.39. I think I can hit about 13.1 based on my reaction times being a bit slow (I need practice lol), but I'm dying to break into the 12s.

Sorry to hear Mulac, lemme check I might have a spare front cover, can't remember if it's got a small crack. No emblem though but I hear that trunk emblems fit...

Sounds like a good opportunity for some tests for the C55 guys, lets head to MIR or Capital and get my Needswings intake and DR's on yours and EDgineered's 55s

I got a nice crack in the windshield so until I replace I probably won't pass tech but I'd love to see the difference both would make and add another 12 second C55 in the DMV

That would be great if you had a spare cover. Don't worry about the emblem, I can just take the one off my shattered cover and put it on (at least that part was okay).

Definitely down for MIR or Capital one day. MIR was fun, but it's definitely a bit of a haul in DC rush hour. I could easily make it from work to Capital around 4:30 or so.

Curious if anyone has been crazy enough to attempt to pass a CA smog test with the Needswings DCAI installed... A stock breather hose crumbled coming off (would need to order one) and the NW elbow was a pain to get to stay snug on the inlet at the back of the engine. I just don't want to mess with it unless necessary. Anyone have any experience trying?

.

You would have to find a "cool" shop. Any mods to the intake = fail in CA.

Yeah, there's one that sounds cool just down the road from me. I was thinking about swinging by when they are light and asking if they would fail me on visual, but I don't want to chance it. Doesn't it go on the car's record permanently if you fail?

Went ahead and got a cheap set of 5 spoke security torx on order and I think I can find a new breather hose. I should just bite the bullet, but that NW intake elbow was a bear to get on solidly...
Cheers!

Yeah, worth a shot. That would save some time and possible headaches. I know the car passes just fine- passed twice with no secondaries and an EC tune.

Sorry to bring up an old tread.

But after installing the Needswing Intake on the C55 do you have to add a file to your tune? Also is anyone selling their Needswing set-up?

I have a Needswings setup that I will be selling in a few months when I pull it for smog. It's really cool and you feel the top end gains, but I have a baby on the way and could use the money. I see you are in the Bay Area, so this could be a really easy transaction...
