Needswings DCAI for C55 AMG.
I recently got Dual Cold Air intakes for my C55, I haven't had a chance to dyno or track it, but car pulls harder in higher RPMs, sounds a little louder too, not by much, throttle response is better. My car not completely stock I already have Eurocharged Tune, 2nd removed, X-pipe. I run 13.1 1/4 thats best so far with cheap tires, I'm Going to take it to Drag race next week possibly if God willing. Anyways here some pics, not many people have these intakes, but I think they are worth it just have to swap back to stock for smog...

I think it's just you and me at this point arekux, looking forward to seeing how you do at the 1/4. I know I made more power when I put mine on, but I added other mods at the same time so I couldn't say how much of my gains were the intake. It's great how easy getting to the tb for cleaning is now, filter cleaning too. Good luck!
*edit* Forgot to say, I'll be test fitting the NW C32 catch can on the 55 this weekend

Wish our intake tubes were as long as yours, the lettering is nice! I read on the E55 forums that Rob was working on bigger filters for your intake, wonder if they'll work on ours...might have to shoot him an email.

This is my setup, nevermind the front cover, i will build a new cover to hide this butt ugly engine *lol*
This setup beats the crap out of every bolt-on mod aviable to theese ones.
12.61 - 1/4 mile
2.134 60ft (crap)
117.3mph trapspeed(good)
No Ecu tune yet, waiting for camshafts to arrive first.
There are ofcourse more mods done to my engine.

A tip for a bit of perforamnceboost guys
The T-bone.. i dunno what to call it.
or the 'collector' for the twinpipes to the airmeter.
If you build your own or want to modify what you got.
Make sure you guide the air straight into the airmeter to keep up the speed on the air.
I can see in pictures that the 'siliconhose' doesn´t do it as good as it could be.
Zoom in on my system in posts above, you´ll see that i have made it with a 'sharp' edge between the pipes in the center, just to guide down the air into the airmeter.
You know guys,, flow isn´t everything,,, speed is

I'd like to get one for my car but I think it's so expensive. If it were more like $400-$500, I might go for it. I'm tired of the SL55 intake rubbing on the wiper cowl with my Kleemann setup.

Nifty looking piece! How much extra? Please post pix when you are done mounting it up, I'd like to see how it 'shows' in the broader scheme of things.

The plate is included in the price. I've only been holding off b/c I've been going back and forth about whether or not to paint the intake manifold burnt copper to match the heads. Gonna pull the fuel rail when I change my EGR, so I'll decide by then
