I hate that stupid hunk of useless nothing in the bottom pocket of the arm rest. Basically makes the pocket useless. I scream about it every time I get in the car. EVERY. TIME. Someone brave remove theirs please, and post a DIY. Thanks.

The rubber cover just comes off, then there are two tabs to release the plastic cover thingy, then unbolt it and unplug the motor unit and it comes out as a whole thing. I did it about 6 months ago when replacing the shifter.

Brilliant videos for removing the center console!
Have to do that in order to fix one of the vents for the back seat
which has "collapsed".
