Well, I guess you must have really BURNED it HARD!!! T1-S is supposed to have the highest treadwear rating among ultra high performance tires!!

Yeah, but how are your fronts? To me that is a better indicator of how hard you drive.

BTW, my fronts have only slightly more tread than my rears at this point. Call it even.

I would agree with you if I still lived in Virginia, but about the only hard cornering I get today is the occasional offramp when traffic allows

The car is most fun here in fl on the turnpike where you can open it up...

My apologies Jason. I just now realized where you live. The only solution is a track day. Which other tires have you tried thus far? I'm leaning towards the Eagle F1 GS-D3 for my next set.

Only 6000 on T1-S, yikes!
I am not worthy

True that T1-S treadwear is rated a bit higher than most others, but treadwear "varies" between different manufacturers. Nonetheless, 6000 is surely playing pretty hard with them.

Are you running stock size setups?

just the Toyo's so far...I've had great luck with these, plus they were less than $200 a piece for the rears...

Trust me, I miss the abandoned country roads of Va...my friends and I used to tear it up on out crotch rockets

I burned through a complete set of Toyo T1-S's in 2 weeks time, about 1000miles. 1 Track day, 1 autox, and some "heavy" street driving. And this is on my SLK 320. Suffice to say, I haven't tried a set on my SLK 32 yet .

Same here, last set of Toyos 265/30ZR/19s lasted just over 6500 miles.

When they were down to around 30%, I could get rear to step out at half throttle going through a turn.

I would scare the **** out driver behind me by sliding the rear to the left and than catching it with opposite lock and sliding the car sideway for about 20 feet.
