Navigation in C55 question
My brother is looking into a very low mileage c55 (20k on it) but does not have nav in it. Is it possible to replace the non nav head unit with a stock nav unit and have it work?
Thanks for any responses

And it's an easy DIY. The later v2 (not sure how you tell, I sourced mine from MBenzNL) play MP3 discs. The CD Changer remains active as well.

You can use a radio out of a G-Class as well. It will have the rearview camera turned on though, so you can either add a camera or you'll get a blank screen when you go into reverse. The camera can also be disabled with STAR.

Yes and you just pop out the old DVD, pop in the new one, then wait a few minutes as it goes through an update procedure.

Well, that's just too damn easy. It would be nice to finally have a Nav System with my home on it since I live in a recent development. Thanks Viper

I have the 2012 nav dvd software that I burn on double layer dvds that I can send you for $50 shipped...I acquired this last year at some point because my 2010 disc burned up after like 6 months so I got the software and started making my own discs and they have been going good with no heat issues since last summer!
