Touch up paint? (or whatever it is called)
Iīve been looking for a product that one could use for fixing small dentīs made from stones hitting the paint in high speed.
In Sweden we call them 'stoneshot', dunno the word in states.
However, i have tried to fix some small dentīs on my frontspoiler.
But the paint iīm adding wonīt stick, it comes of when buffing the car.
I read that these cars have 'standox' paint.
And the painting procedure is quite special.
A quick experiance is that the clearcoating is full of silikone. i tried in an experiment to just add a clearcoatlayer above all with 1200grit sanding before.
It was underneeth the spoiler, that isnīt viewable at normal.
It just became 'fish eyes' all over the area i painted, wiped off the paint.
Cleaned it with silika remover, painted again, same error.
so,, any tips?

Sorry I can't really help apart from to say that yes its called touch up paint. Have you tried the dealer? I thought mine stocked them.
On another note, do you mind if I ask how you joined your custom intake to the vents (holes) behind the grill? Do you use the stock plastic "cones" or did you make something to fit?

I made new 'cones' in sheetmetal, sandblasted and powdercoated them black.
The inlet roar is really nice now

If you want a good result have the bumper resprayed by a good painter. This is normal for a 8-10 year old car. You can buy a little bottle, the same size and idea of nail polish size with a small brush, that is used as a 'tip'/'touch' up kit to cover stone chipping.
However a respray of the front bumper and hood is around 500, so I would go for that if you plan on keeping the car for a while. Make sure it is a real professional company with a state of the art spray booth. They also bake the paint after spraying in a perfect regulated environment. Never the result you can achieve at home.
Im speaking from experience, I own my own pray paint gun and air compressor with water separator on the air hose. But I have a buddy that has a professional shop and I can not get the same dust free and ideal temperature he gets in his paint booth in my garage.

Ohh yes.. i know.
Local resprayer thou,, wonīt touch the car as it is 'standox' nano yada yada clearcoating.
I have often in the past resprayed things myself with very very good result.
One can always wetsand it and buff it up to desired finish.
Therefor i wanted to try and add paint in this blisters and buff it back to showroomshine.
This is a fender i have painted a couple of years ago:

Fixing small stone paint chips
I have used a color pen by Genicolor with very good results. Used as the vendor instructions state, the color is nearly a match for the OEM color.
Check it out at www.genicolor.com
