How much is this worth

Long time lurker. Used this forum for ideas when I first purchased my c55. Can someone be so kind and give me an idea what my car is worth?

I have a 2005 C55AMG with 32,000 miles. It's pewter with black leather. Has heated seats, bi xenons, nav, and cd changer. I added a DCTMS custom wheel, dension gateway, flat hood badge and the clk grill. Pretty sure I have the original grill also. It was all done at the dealer. The car looks and drives showroom new. No nicks, dings, scratches (few pebble chips in front bumper). Never seen any snow. Interior is perfect and exterior is perfect. All work and service up to date. Tires have about 14k on them.

Basically perfect.

Thanks,

Fred

I'll start the fight. Answering this question is along the lines of "opinions are like a$$holes, everyone has one". I would start with KBB because everyone else is. You probably have one of the lowest mileage cars for sale at the moment - and that should bring a premium.

My guess is that the price you'll end up getting won't be worth selling the car, unless you really need the cash. In the end, how much is lower mileage really worth to the average buyer?

My venture at throwing a figure out... $19.5k

That's surprisingly low miles, but look somewhere in the $15k range.

15K seems low to me... but if you'd take it, I'd pay it!!

I've been watching values of the C55 for the past 6 months pretty intently. The closest thing I've seen to what you have was a black w/black 2006 (which demands a premium) with 50K miles. The owner put it up for sale on this forum, but also put it on ebay four different times and the auction never broke 18K...

If you really plan to sell it, price it at 19K and be prepared to accept less. Low mileage should add 10% to the price. Maybe 15% because yours is very low.

All the other C55s that I have seen for sale for more than 18K have been for sale for a looooong time...

What about the service history? The low miles might seem low, but if this car spent the last eight years or so rotting in the garage, that might hurt his resale. Can you post up some of the maintenance the car has been through?

I'd say Viper is on low side, but 16-18 is prolly a safe bet.

All of the recommended maintenance has been performed and up to date. Haven't had any issues. Dealer said it was basically showroom new. No one can believe it's a 2005. Original owner was a vet that served a few tours. Only issue when purchased was the tires were perfect but sat for a while... so dealer recommended replacing. Basically drove it around the block every few months.

Like I said it is as close to perfect as you can get. Dealer offered me 19K on a trade if you add in the tax savings (I'm in CT). It equates to about $20,140. Last service was performed a few months ago.

Everyone ... thank you for the input ... appreciate it!

This is a biggie! I would have loved to buy my C55 with the engine mounts and control arms already taken care of! (though unlikely a problem at 30k)

Looks to be about right ... not sure if the dealer gives me 19k what they'll ask for it? I think the mechanic that worked it wants it...lol.

Thanks everyone...

If the dealer wants to give you 19k, then you need to counter at 20k and run to the bank, you won't get that anywhere else.

I've been watching the prices on these cars for some time, and the mileage greatly affects the price. Many of them have 100k miles or more and it's getting hard to find low mileage ones.

$17.5k-$18k, IMO...its an 8 year old car (going on 9), what the dealer is offering means nothing to me though, it depends more on what they are charging you for next car. That said, low mileage is a plus if you can find someone willing to pay that premium....me I'd take a 60k model for less...
