FS: C32 Stock Headers, diff

Cleaning my garage and still have a few bits left from my C32 which I sold earlier this year.

Both the headers and diff were removed at about 65k when I upgraded to Eurocharged headers and Quaife diffs.

Please email me at inflectionpt@gmail.com if you want the see the pics. As far as I know, both were working fine when they were removed.

Did you install the Quaife yourself? I'm doing mine and was wondering if you could give me any pointers, thanks James.

The hardest part is just getting the carrier out of the car! Check your backlash before you take anything out of the housing. Don't mix up the snap rings or the bearings. The bearings are different sizes left and right anyway but the snap rings are the shims. My backlash and tooth pattern were perfect on mine. Quaife builds a quality product for sure. I also put the carrier in the freezer and the ring gear in the toaster oven for a bit that made it much easier to side into place, it was a tight fit. Put some blue Loctite on the bolts and torque to spec. New axle seals and fill with MB fluid.

Yea, I was looking at the carrier trying to figure out how to get the differential out without taking the carrier completely out, I've got a C32, don't know if they are the same,, I don't have a backlash tool either and will have to find one and figure out how to use it,, ...

I don't think there's a way to do it without taking it out.

I think I'm talking about the sub-frame,, or is the sub-frame and carrier the same? I'm in the garage trying to get it all apart now...

No, subframe stays. You need to take the axles out of both sides (PITA!) and unbolt the drive shaft and then you can unbolt the differential and take it out. I left the exhaust in mine when I did it, made it a bit more difficult but the exhaust is a pain to take out in one piece.

Wow that was a job, I spent 8 hrs. getting it out, yea I left my front exhaust on too but took the rear section off, and I ended up taking nearly everything in the back off, I seen I had a sub-frame bolt broke off also, that was probably why my rear drive shaft flex plate keeps tearing up (it was wasted again also), that's the 3rd one, when I've been getting on it the rear body lowers and my parking brake cable has been rubbing the flex plate and tearing them up, looks like that broke bolt is going to be hard to get to!!
