Cheap C32 in Denver
Alright.. I'm going to throw in the towel. I have a 2002 C32 with about 136k on it. It's at the mechanic having valve cover gaskets replaced and a powers steering leak fixed. last year it had tranny service, a new steering rack, an alternator and a half a dozen other things repaired and replaced. The car drives well but is in fair shape. After the service it still needs front tires and the heater blower motor squeaks occasionally.
I need something for winter an this isn't it. I'm about to drop the car at CarMax and just walk with a check. Anyone looking for a cheap C32? I'm trying to get $5k for it.

I just don't understand why people bother fixing a car just to sell it. Might as well keep it with all the work you've done already.

Sounds like he needs a reliable car and this is not it. Amazing how these cars were $50k 11 years ago and now ones like this are worth zero dollars. Since he probably spent $5k in repairs and now that is all it is worth = zero. I got $4k for my 26 year old Honda.

I must agree, this is an absurdly low price for this car.
If I was in your area I would scoop this up in a heartbeat... Makes me sad to see AMG's going for this price...
but it is what it is..

The reason I want to get rid of it is that it frustrates the hell out of me. I love driving it. It's super fast and handles awesome. With three cars and an equal number of kids I just don't have the time. Here's a link to some pics.

Sorry, I snapped the pics with my phone and it was getting dark so they are crappy. Let me know if you want any better shots.
This week the right valve cover gasket was replaced and a new battery went in it. A couple months ago it got a new OEM alternator. A year ago it got a steering rack, power steering filter and reservoir seals. Maybe 15 months ago it got the front end rebuilt with new lower control arms, tie rod ends, new back tires, a tranny service (flush and filter), shift linkage bushings and a tranny mount... A few months before that it got both motor mounts replaced, some Denso iridium plugs and new coil packs. Maybe 2 years ago it got all 4 rotors replaced including drilled rear and Akebono ceramic pads....
The list goes on an on. Like I said, it needs front tires. The bad suspension shredded the outside of the left front tire. The center tread is good but cords show on the outside. The blower fan decides to squeak every so often. The paint is starting to fade a bit on the top edge of the front and rear bumper. A couple years ago I ran over metal rod which stuck in the rear tire and proceed to wack the rear drivers side door and rip off the bumper strip. You can see it in the pics. That's why the bumper insert on the back left corner is a different (C320 silver) color. The car is not perfect but I think it's priced well.
I wouldn't hesitate to jump in the car and drive it anywhere. I just have different priorities now.

The C32 arrived safe and sound in Kansas City, I guess the mo jo was left in Denver as they beat the Chiefs.
Spent the whole day going over the car and have a list of things to do to bring it back for another 100,000 miles
