9.5 in rear.. why is it rubbing?

I just swooped up some new rimmys and having major wheel rubbage? what modifications must i do so i dont have this issue anymore? I have already rolled the fender and shaved a tad bit of the inner wheel well.. My car has about a finger and half space between rim and fender. any advice? 32 offset with 265/30/19

it all depends on the offset of the wheels. if you have the correct one, it shouldn't. i have 265's and it's been ok.

"H & R lowering springs 1 1/2 coil front and Eibach one coil cut"

Benzino,

Can you post a picture of how low your car is. I think that you are probably at the point where you have to make sacrifices in wheel/tire choice in order to ride at that height.

Thanks,

Ben

It has to do with your tires also. Some tires have more squared sidewall and some are more rounded. What tire are you using???

there he goes again with them Toyos again

but yes Mr. Harris is right, and confirmed by other tire stores, Toyo tires have a very rounded edge to them and they are less prune to rubbing then other leading manufacturers.. that being said, i have Pirelli P-Zero Neros (right now rated the best tire in it's class by TireRack) are still rubbing and i too have shaved the inside of my fenderwell but Mr. Harris suggested to replace teh spring pad with a "Taller" size which would help jack up my rear about some fractions of an inch.. Hopefully i get a chance to get around to doing it.

No wonder.....Pirelli tires all have squared sidewall design. IMO, P7000 is the worst tire money can buy in the world!! Try getting a set of Toyo T1-S or Dunlop SP9000 and your problem will be solved.

agreed... my car actually become fishtail happy once on a dry surface, i was trying to pull a quick U-Turn in the CLK, worst idea ever with the P-7000s, regardless to say, i am doing insane burnouts now, trying to find an excuse for a new set of tires. Perferably Toyos

i was really considering about shaving the tire sidewall sound like a good idea? there is a round ring around the tire where it rubs at.. I heard some suggestion about getting 255 in the rear or changing the tire and getting a more fit sidewall for my rim.. ps i was kidding about the shaving the sidewall lol

i know people with c classes running offset of 32 all day, so i dont think its that. I read earlier how you were going to do some burnouts in your ride so you can get new tires i think im going to do the same but instead of burnouts i will slam on my brakes since i cant do burn outs haha..

ET's from all manufactures can vary. 32 from AMG, is not 32 from HRE, fikse, bbs, or whatever else.

You have a problem with a tire width, or most likely offset. And with tires, not all 265's are the same width. S03's are known to be a bit more wide than say...a pzero rosso or pilot sport.

Benzino,

Did this occur immediately after lowering the car, or over time? My guess is that your stock shocks may be failing.
