YAW, it sucks hard.

This is a compounding problem, one day I was driving home and i took a light dip to the left and my doors unlocked. I thought It was some radio freq disruption, made a mental note since it was hard to come up with any real case.

Then today driving home my ESP malfunction came on after a bump in the road, and the car went into limp mode. No other warning lights, just the error message.

Combined with my low throttle jerks I started putting the pieces together, after doing some research it's either the pedal sensor or the YAW sensor or a combination of both.

I couldn't replicate the error again to get the error code up to read it, so I just ordered a used YAW sensor anyway since it's not much.

Grrr.

Thats most likely tranny jerk, best to look into a glycol test and change radiator to behr if you have the valeo. Even with EC TCU tune the jerk happens but no so much as before. 2003 TCU's have this issue less.

eclectic assortment of cars
Could it be as simple as an old battery? Always worth checking the simple stuff before you get into more expensive issues.

Ok, really newbie question: how do I properly check a battery for condition at home?
Might be the cause of some of my electrical gremlins too

You can check the voltage on the comand. There is a post on it. Its something along the lines of AUX then 1+3 mute together brings up back door menu.

Thanks, . Good point on the battery, I've overlooked it because I don't really have much electrical symptoms at the moment. I'll give it a check.

Battery would have been my first guess too.

I would also check for loose connections.

Checked battery is fine. After years of working with cars I didnt give me signs it was a battery issue. but ruled it out anyway. YAW/pedal sensor on the way!

Also received my CM30 today will change it during the holidays.
