New supercharged C55 on this forum
There! done!
I got my old 'needswings' airfiltersetup laying still.
just wanted to fit the std airbox first.
Setup:
Kleemann supercharger(lysholm) at 0.55bar boost(8psi)
Evosport pulleys
ported and flowed heads
longtube headers
Custom exhaust 2.5" - 3" splitted to dual 2.5" at rear. and 200cell magnaflow catalysators
uprated chargecooler
397cc injectors(3bar)
Aeromotive fuelpressureregulator, located at the front of the car to assure fast vaccum/pressure signal
Walbro GST400 fuelpump
78mm throttlebody, custom made by me, grinded shaft- equals an 81mm throttlebody with no grinded shaft.
Custom airmassmeter for higher flow, made from an 135degree silicone hose
ported inlet on supercharger
Not ecu tuned yet,, will hace to wait until end of march.
but that doesnīt matter, itīs winter in Sweden now anyway.

Awesome! Always love to see our n/a V8's getting s/c'd. Btw, how did u obtain the lysholm supercharger? I was under the impression Kleemann no longer sold this type of s/c...

A picture during install, i have painted the unit black as later on with needswings it will look better.
I will paint the rockercovers black to, maybe today actually.
As for how i got hold of an lysholms: i didnīt buy it brand sponking new, itīs in 2nd hand.
This kit has been lying on a shelf for a lot of years.
there were parts missing so i got it cheap.
But i didnīt miss them at all, i get chills to my bones thinking of 7bar(what is it? 100psi?) fuelpressure with std pump and injectors.
Like itīs made to burn pistons...

the other setup:
Difference between this and with no airfilters are huge already on throttlerepsonse.
Thatīs what you gain when guiding the air correct down the hatch

Thanks guys.
It will take a couple of months before i can tune it.
The car is 'put away' for winter storage and i will pick up the ball again in late April 2014 or so.
I dont drive the car on the winter(except for test yesterday when the road was dry) as the are raping the roads with salt to ensure itīs no ice.
Salt ruins our cars

cold but dry tarmac,, itīs no idea to test it flat out.
It just smokes the tires.

just a couple of words before you notices it
You can see a use just one valve for the airpump, i have welded a fitting underneeth it and leads the air over to the other side.
This isnīt finished just yet, iīm testing it now.
seems to work fine, so far so good
Iīm using rubberhoses now,, no good.
but will weld pipes in stainless further on.
I have also instead of using the resistor to fool the signal from the airmass meter to the ecu increased the airmeter area, it is about 74mm standard.
Mine is now 95mm.
This lowers the signals voltage to the ecu and allows the meter to flow more air.
really needed to let the airflow keep up with the lysholm at high revs.
To get it running now thou, i have lowered the fuelpressure from 3.8bar to 2bar.
with my 397cc injectors(@3bar) i can easily raise the pressure to say 4.5bar and gain fuel flow up against 700hp pending on dutycycle.
I will settle for my 0.55bar of boost as i havenīt got lowcompressionpistons.
But extra capacity of fuelflow is always good.
Rgds.

Did you do the work yourself or did you have a shop over there do it? Who is doing the tuning? Kleemann in Colorado here told me the car can't be tuned properly with larger injectors. I'd much prefer to run larger injectors on my car rather than the boost-a-pump style setup with the stock injectors.

My car has bigger injectors (465cc) and it took a while to tune it to get the cold start to work fine, but now it's running like with the stock injectors, so it can be done

yes i painted it black.
the rockercovers are next to get black.
I find this more good locking then bare aluminium and a lot of cables and hoses in contrast when running with my dual cai filters.
