Are the foglights different between these two models.

I looked at the CLK55 in person and it seemed different than mine 2003 c32.

But looking at the picture on the mbusa website they both look the same.

Does anybody know?

Havent I explained on the other forum? The CLK55 has clear lens foglights. You can buy the assembly and put it on the C32 (you cannot just buy the lens). "AMGBRED" and "Shine" have done it on their 32 already.

Harris,

Yes I did notice the difference in my car and actually I am having the dealer look into it right now. Boy they don't seem to know anything. With any luck I should have it by the end of the week.

Actually I was curious about the 04 models because on the website it looks the same.

Did they update this on the website.

Thanks AMG Bred,

Those pictures show it a lot better. Either way i think I am going to get it done because I want to put HID's in there. BTW I can't believe it costs $620 just do that. Does that sound about right? The dealer said each housing is 200 something plus labor etc.

Thanks,
Prasith

So for this swap, you can use the existing wiring and just directly swap the fog units? Where can I find a good deal for the fogs?

CarlssonCRS: I'll give you $200 and please get me a pair of CLK55 foglights.

$200+ EACH for the foglight assembly is the price that we are talking about. And its because of such high price that I've chosen not to do it.

hold on... we are talking about the same thing arent we? the clear foglamps unit which replaces the old ones? the labor to do that isnt expensive!

it shouldn't be too expensive, if you have a lil bit of motor skills, and a place to jack up the car (to get to the back of the fog lights) then it's fairly simple.. there is no modification to the wires needed what so ever.. they are both (the C32 and CLK55) the same light bulbs and harnesses.

In "clear all the way" project, you can find all clear parts for C32AMG
Then choose the right lamp to match the light.

I use philips 6000k Bi-xenon (white), so I pickup 5600k fog lamp to match the light of HID.

Warning ! this's in case you don't drive it in foggy days.
