Hey there. I just picked up an 02 black C32 in the Chicago area yesterday. MB dealers sell the flat emblems from what I've heard. They are also for sale on ebay.com. I'm having one put on my car this week when it goes in for 2003 bushings to cure the creaking suspension. Not sure if the MB dealer is the best source for the lights. The pros here will surely chime in on that one.

I went to the dealer and asked ( Motorwerks ) and they said they dont sell them seperatly and that it would be better to aquire them from an aftermarket source, btw what dealer are you going to, to have the flat emblem put on?

I'm actually based in Florida (just found the car up your way and drove back). I'd heard that dealers have them but maybe its on a case by case basis. I'll check with my local dealer tomorrow. You can see at least 2 types of flat badges for sale on ebay. Just search for mercedes badge and they'll pull up. I'm going for a plain mercedes (non AMG) badge with a simpler design.

That's awesome that so many new owners are gravitating to this board. Now if you tell us that your car is black and your getting it from the Chicago area its going to start feeling creepy.

welcome and congrats...

for bi-xenon ask MBenzNL aka Steve or ask Harris aka Harris on the board.

for the flat hood badge, you can get it from the dealership or you can search on eBay.

How do you go about install? I hear you might need an adapter for the flat emblem?

Eric,

I just went to my dealer and had a flat badge put on in place of the vertical star emblem. It was $54 for the part (ug plastic BTW) and $38 to slap it on. It does look better than the star to me. I picked up a nice steel keychain with the AMG logo also ($15ish).

They charged you $38 to put it on? Dang, I thought it was a 5-10 minute job.

It seemed like I waited about 20 minutes. I found it to be kind of high for something I probably could have done myself in that amount of time. Live and learn.

I was hoping for the new customer treatment "Welcome to our dealership and MB ownership in general. Oh I see you purchased our very over-priced plastic emblem and that oh so cool AMG keychain. May I have one of our service techs pop that on for you at no charge while our fluffer services you in the waiting area?" Maybe next time.

sup man...yeah, I'm also on bimmerforums and e46fanatics under the same screenname. Had a 2000 topaz 328Ci sport/premium before the current car. That was an awesome car w/ the traditional 2.8 i-6, too bad BMW had to enlarge the displacement to match up with other brands.

I think that's Shine's car...you can ask him about it. There's really a lot of different grilles available for the W203.
