Yeah, press the button on the bottom left in the picture and slide that phone holder forward and off.
The go buy a BT 'Puck' and you can connect your phone through the car... they're about $180 on ebay.

Thanks for the help. I'm kind of surprised my car came with BT hardware minus the puck, but that's great news to know a puck will complete my BT setup. Would you happen to know which cell phone is compatible with that holder?

It looks like it's compatible with one of the really old Motorola flip phones. Get the BT puck, it's absolutely worth it. Took 2 minutes to sync and is fully functional with all the car based functions *COMMAND, steering, MID etc.)

My BT works great for incoming calls. It also works great for calls made from the phone itself. But somehow I can't get make outgoing calls using the buttons on the Command system. It shows call failed after a few seconds.

Hey all.
Sorry to revive an old thread, but hope that this is an easy answer...
My wife picked up a really low mile 2008 E350 4Matic 2 years ago. It didn't come with the bluetooth puck when she purchased it. Only recently has she asked me to see about getting "hands-free working", so I checked here and ordered an ebay puck.
I was able to connect and pair her iphone - able to receive calls and make calls, so this all seems to be working well.
What I noticed is that the blue lights on the puck will continue to blink every 3 seconds or so even when the car is off. Is this normal? Is the puck hosed? Should I be worried about battery drain?
Please help.
