Welcome! Always nice to see the rare C55 wagon member. Like Viper said, they didn't ship those to us in the states

The forum is a very useful place, it's definitely helped me a lot and saved me a lot of $$$$, enjoy!

I am debating on buying a 2006 c55 amg with 56,000 miles on it. $23,400. I'm am kinda weary bc I just had a BMW 02 m3 and the tranny messed up. Could you help me on deciding whether or not to buy the c55?

I have never driven that yearmodel of m3. My guess is that m3 is more balanced for active driving. But for a overall considering performance, space and maintinence the mercedes is a better choice.
Verk late anwser i know.

Your reconditioned wheels look superb.
You had them painted, or powder coated?

i think a bunch of C-class owners from 2003-2006 have that rust problem around the wheel wells and base of the door. you can find the MB bulletin on it if you search these boards.

it reallly sucks because these are such nice cars and its ridiculously expensive to have a body shop replace the metal and fix the rust spots correctly. i have 4-5 spots each about 3-4 inches long that i have fixed my self very cheaply since my car is black and i can hide it, although it looks crappy if you take a close look, but at least the rust isnt speading.

good luck beautiful car you have regardless!!!!

C55 AMG T with Kleemann K2 and some stuff: 414 hp and 562 Nm :-)
The rustproblems was greatly reduced when they introduced the faceliftversion
in late 2004. C55 is a facelift version.

Just did the service B today and also had one fog light replaced due to breakage.

Service was due in approx 6000km / 3800miles but i decided to make it in advance.
I am very pleased with the workshop. They only work with "older" MB. Fair prices and professional treatment.

I've changed windshield year ago also. Thinking of a new grille too. How much new grille costs in Sweden?

Service B with the mileage consist of a slightly larger service A. The specifications where mostly filters and checks.

The grille is not ordered yet. Swedepat recomendations will be the cheapest alternative.
