I wanted to see if someone heve real experience with this.
- TCU tune and standart brown solenoids versus TCU tune and blue solenoids.
Is there need to spend $500 more for the solenoids..
Or the TCU tune and brownies give good results.

TCU tune make my car sluggish, always about one gear too big. Down shifting without kickdown is also sluggish when compared stock. M-mode is not true manual, it still shifts gear up when you go shift rpm point.
And there is some issues with blue solenoids and bigger boost/raised rpm level, there is another topic where Robert tells this.

Hey guys, thanks for the answers!
Pansu, yes i did found one thread about this issues - early upshifts at 1500rpm... wonder if there is updated version of the TCU from eurocharged?
Quant, can you say in % how rough was the downshifts compared to stock brownies? It is something on what you can say not big deal? How was the car feel around town?
And the upshifts was faster or only more firm?
Regards

On my C55 I have brown solenoids and Kleemann TCU, no problems
what so ever. Faster gearchanges makes the car more fun to drive!
Btw, I´m the one who started the "jerk in transmission - problem solved" - thread.

Pansu, this is not good news at all.. Maybe you can sujest me a company which can offer realy good TCU tune?
If there is someone like amgen to share experience wit kleemann or other TCU's?
amgen few montjs ago i read your thread and i realized that i got this jerk when cold at 1500 rpm between 1st and second.
I bought the torque convertor lock up solenoid with the new part# 240...
And the jerk is gone!
However, i do have (and many others) a jerk when the convertor lock's up in second and 3rd. this happens mainly around town.
I read that after TCU tune this event is gone! For this reason i was interested in this type of tune.

In my case, I suspect some debris got stuck in that special solenoid.
Maybe you have debris for some reason in some or the other solenoids too
that cause you problems?
I think: fix the problem, and then get a TCU-tune! It was probably ok when
it was new...

MBWorld Fanatic!
So is the consensus Kleemann over Eurocharged? I would like to get a TCU tune since I rented a new Camaro SS on my vacation and it shifted so much faster than my C55...
I know... ten years apart and all...

Can´t compare but zero issues with Kleemann.
The car felt slow without the TCU tune, after it felt sporty and fun.
Everytime I enjoy it, honestly, can´t imagine it without.
The package with ECU, TCU and headers, the car feels "complete".

I´ll try!
First of all, the gearchanges are notably faster. The 5-speeder is originally
VERY slow but the software helps a lot. After my ECU-tune, I felt the car was
missing something. -The TCU-tune was the missing piece.
Secondly, it holds gears longer when you drive in an active way.
The car feels sportier.
That´s about it. But I do say I enjoy the faster shifts every time I´m behind
the wheel. Maybe particulary the fast shift between 4th and 5th when the revs
are closer?

Hmm, something else got my interest..
If the EC TCU is no good for our C32's what about puting a C55 TCU in the C32
Atleast the C55 got manual mode!
What do you think, and what people with knowledge will say?
It is possible and will it work like in the C55?
Atleast the diff ratio is the same - 3:06

I have the blue top solenoids on my c55 and the transmission feel very hard on downshift at low speed with oem oil (I removed it). I do a other test with Amsoil oil and they are ok for me, it's a bit more smooth that oem oil, but you lose a bit of confort at low speed (upshift a low speed are not always good, exemple 4-5). This is my track car and it's ok for me.
More people on clk55 running blue top, but I think the TCU on clk are more smoother that the c55 TCU.
I am really interesting to see : blue top + eurocharged TCU
