In my own personal experience, I LOVE the way 19's look.
But when I had 19's on stock suspension it was fine. When I got my coilovers, I thought the ride was Waaaay too harsh for me and for a Benz. They were also heavy and slowed me down. Sure u can buy lightweight 19's, but you also have to spend an arm and a leg.
Went back to OEM for a while, and now on OEM C55 wheels. I think the 18's look good enough and are acceptable for ride quality.
using the right offset & h&r coilovers. it's as low as it can get to the rim & no rubbing. but then again, i did do rear fender work. but ive seen many at carshows w/ the right offset that can run these all day w/o rubbing. just gotta talk to someone who knows about offsets, or you can do measurements in your wheel well. i forgot my offset from my other wheels, but you can call hre wheels to get that info, asking them you want maximum fitment on your mbz. hope this helps.
