c32 lurching/pulsing supercharger cutting out issue with video

This is the issue I have been asking about. It does it at anything greater than 20% throttle. If you wot you can pull through it but it still pulsates like crazy. Also it doesnt seem to be that bad at low gear. But any gearing where rpms are low and a load is placed on the car will cause it

I have an aeromotive 340lph pump. I never have any drivability issues with it other than that. But I do have slight fuel leak I need to repair at the fuel filter on the lines. Could this cause me to lose pressure?

Depends on the size of the leak. Do you smell a lot of fuel?

I see you have a check engine light on. What are the codes? Does it come back when you clear it? Fuel leak is never a good thing. Fix it before you catch fire.

The cel is only on for one code which is sai pump code because it and the vent valves have been deleted. Yea I am planning on fixing very soon. I order the nylon braided line you suggested in your pm. I want to just run the 8 an line and afpr now buy I'll have to wait. I started a small business importing Nissan skylines and other tuners, so my time is dedicated to them. Its funny how a 240sx with an sr20 is worth more than a c32 these days...-----_____-----

Update... Replaced the leaky fuel line from regulator to filter. Looks like the return line might be slightly leaking a tiny bit. Went for a test drive and the car did the same exact thing. Cant have any throttle hardly without the supercharger cutting in and out

What is your pulley setup and are you using the OEM TB?

Stock throttle body and 178 asp. I used to run a 61 but was planning going stacked. I put two shims in between the stock pulley. Could this be to much gap?

The gap should be .25-.30 mm. You should measure it. Usually two shims should be fine. It is hard to tell from the video what is happening. Seeing the RPMs may be more help. From the sound alone it reminds me of how the misfire sounds. When was the last time you read the codes using the STAR system? I'm assuming there is no boost leak. If it is truly the supercharger cutting out, then I can at this point only think of belt slip or something is wrong with your TB. There is also the electrical components since the SC clutch is based on electro magnets. Do you have any datalogging capabilities?

I haven't scanned with star ever. I have a little Bluetooth scanner and torque pro that allows me to datalog I think. I just thought if it were a misfire shouldn't I get codes? It does this at any rpm but its more prominent at lower rpms when you put more load in the engine by applying throttle.

Not saying its a misfire. Just sounds like one. You have to check the car with the STAR system. The car can have hidden codes that can only be seen with the STAR system. The best thing is to clear all codes using STAR. Then if the problem comes back, take a ride around the block with the STAR connected and see what it says. BTW, why did you delete the SAI pump and the vent valves? Having a permanent CEL code is not recommended.

Only place I can get star is at an Indy or euro charged I guess. I didn't delete the sai. The kid who had the car before me did. He used the tvt block off I think. Yea I wouldn't have done that. I got the car for 4k so whatever. I guess I need to find a star....

any generic obdII reader will report misfire codes. Regardless I wouldn't be pushing the car into boost at all until you get this fixed. If it's truly a fuel delivery problem you don't want to run lean @ wot.

I doubt it is the SC either. Easy way to find out. Just unplug the connector going to the SC clutch and then drive it. SC will not engage.

If the car is in neutral does it rev up smoothly with no hesitation?

It revs beautifully at idle. Ill try unplugging the supercharger.

ok, i have narrowed the issue further i believe.

If I wot at in 1st gear i have no issue, also if i downshift to 2nd at wot from say a 40mph, no problem as well. If i try to do 40% throttle at 40mph or something similar say in 3rd 4th or OD the car will start stuttering. I dont press the throttle enough to downshift but it seems like it is enough to put some sort of load on the car that causes this issue. Im wondering if this is starting to sound like a torque converter.
