Are these similar to the Brembo Big Brake Kit?

What size are the front calipers? Any pics of the kit?

Also what size wheels and offset is required? Will the stock wheels clear the calipers?

I am very interested in putting a brake kit on my car around spring or so and am evaluating the different ones right now.

Thanks.

well brembo makes the best brakes and brembo GTs are their top-of-the-line product. these are 14" rotors. i dont think they will fit on the stock c32 rim though. you can go to their website for more info. www.brembo.com

Anybody thinking of purchasing a brake upgrade should go look at an article from Grassrootsmotorsports from a couple of years ago. Also look at any review of large brake setups where they give a before and after comparison (to be accurate the brakes should be the only change).

Of course if you track your car and experience brake fade that is another matter.

I would put them on. Although the rotor size is not that much bigger 14'' vs. 13.6'' There is noticeable imporevement in pedal feel and stopping distances.

We will have some hard stopping distance numbers shortly.

How much of the pedal feel difference is due to fresh fluid, the stainless steel brake lines, and new fresh pads?

It will be interesting to the difference in stopping distance.

Of course if you really want to reduce stopping distance put some wider stickerer tires on the car.

We had new pads, new rotors and fresh fluid on the front 5K miles prior. We have done stainless lines numerous times and although they do improve pedal feel, the improvement from Brembos was very significant.

I had to change my braking distances as I found myself short stopping and worrying about some yahoo parking his bumper on my rear seat.

We will have some hard data shortly.
