I don't know for sure about the dash clock but if you search (anywhere) you will find the answer to the rest of these questions.

I recently upgraded.
Telephone and volumebuttons on steeringwheel works.
But infodisplay isnīt synced, no connectivity from gps, radio and clock.
But itīs a small tradeoff due to you get so much more functions from the new command.

So it's stuck on the default startup screen and how do you reset service indicators and whatnot? I'd kill for a better sound system, couldn't care less about GPS or other tech, just dying for my old audiophile systems that sounded like symphony concerts. But I'm not wanting to lose anything to get there, nor spend $5k on a stereo system. Been there, did that, now older and hopefully, wiser.

que?
Nothings stuck.
You just dont get the GPS info in infodisplay(you are heading north etc etc etc).
And you dont get 'cd text and rds info'
And lastly the clock isnīt synced.
It works just fine otherwise.

A pic from install.
Iīm testing the 'torque' application in this pic.
Works just fine.
This gives you a lot of info about the cars ECU, good for tuning.
You can get 'power', not actual power, but you can see improvements.
You can mount a camera and record trackdays with gauges onscreen in video.
You can scan ecu for errorcodes and reset them.
You can stream music online either through 3g dongle or wifi.
Voicecontrolled gps(google maps)
almost endless possibilites, and you can buy an interface that connects the cd changer if you wanīt.
But i canīt see the need for it anymore.
Just rip the music to mp3īs and burn them to a dvd disc or on memorycard.

I'd even be fine with the current stereo with no BT if I could get better speakers, subs and an amp to function off of it. The highs and mids are just a bit flat and dull and the lows, while there, are just anchoring the sound down with no real definition. You just know there's a lot of bass happening somewhere, maybe in your car, maybe the one next to you.

This is what I'll be using with my upgrade
Focal 6.5 component front KRX
Rear 5.25 Morel Hybrid Ovation
Tru Technology Amps 4 channels x2
Factory Command
Mobbridge M1000 M DA3The mObridge DA3 Digital Signal Processor is a revolutionary method of integrating high-end aftermarket audio components with the factory radio.
The DA3 is a full digital signal processor complete with graphical interface that replaces the factory amplifier and eliminates the need for high to low voltage converters and/or summing devices. Simply disconnecting the optical cables from
the factory amplifier, and inserting them directly into the DA3, will provide 8-channels of full range, ultra clean fully configurable audio.
The mObridge DA3 interprets many of the factory radio commands eliminating the need for an external volume control knob.
Its DSP processor will decipher and control volume, treble, mid-bass, bass, subwoofer, and balance functions of the factory radio.
With the addittion of the power UI interface the full power of the DA series is now available to users. With full parametric adjustment of the individual channels as well as the master eq, 20ms time alignment, cross over linking and much more, the user now has the ability to achieve award winning reasults with the DA3 interface.

Note: As of firmware 1.7.0 presets profiles have been added. This may affected the non-volatile memory structure of older units. This now also adds the ability for users to switch profiles via the factory radio 'Surround' settings. Pls refer to the release notes and we highly recommend saving your profile before the upgrade into an *.rax file.

Does your car have the Harman/Kardon sound system with the fiber optic cables or did it just have regular system?
Will this Headunit work with Fiber Optic? I didn't see any mention of it in the ad. Thanks!

After talking to someone from the website live chat I have discovered that I will work in the Harman/Kardon and Bose equipped cars. You have to purchase an extra equipment piece called 'KGLBENZ-6M'. It is a 20 foot wiring harness which I can only assume is meant to run from the head unit back to the amp in the trunk eliminating the fiber-optic anyways.
Is this what you ended up doing or do you have the standard sound system?
What is the overall build quality of the unit? Does it feel well made? Is the screen and functions laggy at all? Any sound changes?
With the whole thing being well over $400 I just want to make sure it is going to be worth the value

Yes.. exactly, i never bought it because i donīt have the amplifier in the boot.
And i donīt find any use of the cd changer anymore, actually i will get rid of the changer to get more space in glovebox.
