Went to the dealer to get a C32 and...
I went to "The biggest MB dealership" around, as they told me..
but turned out to be the biggest rip off dealership. (Can't remeber it's name right now, but I'll get back to you. LA COUNTY) There was a C32AMG in silver, and they told me that the C32 is running $10,000-$15,000 over MSRP price($57k+15k)
!, and you won't be able to get one under that. He started talking about how the C55 weight won't be even, and the C32 is more of a classic, richer car and really in demand now.
In my opinion this guy was trying to get me to fork out lootts of cash.. He was also telling me that they sold a 2004 E55 for $112,000 just recently, because it's an AMG model!
I don't think i'll ever buy an AMG this way!

C32
Indeed...
The usual dealership tactics at work. I got my Silver/Black 04 back in October and got 1K off MSRP, and I thought it was a *bad* deal. Location: San Francisco
In general prices in LA have been better from peers' experience due to more dealer competition.

Sicc - If you would consider a black c32, I know where you can get one for $5k off MSRP. I saw it in the dealer showroom last week, so not sure if it will still be there. From what I remember, it had rear window sunshade and Comand, but no bi-xenons. You may even be able to get them to go lower.

YESS IT WAS GLENDALE!!! but it's okay
. I'm going to take the advice of just waiting until House Of Imports gets one! They truly are the best benz dealership around...10-15k extra is way to much for me. I'd rather spend it on like a stage 4 boost kit for the c32!
evo sport is just around the corner!

Is the dealership called "Laguna Nigel"? They claim they are the 2nd biggest in the Nation. I can't see anybody asking over $58K for a C32. I had a shot at their silver C32 last weekend but I said no and they were asking $58K - NO DISCOUNT AT ALL.
I have been in the hunt for a C32 since January (but have decided to wait for the C55 now) and NO ONE...absolutely NO ONE that I came across is discounting a C32 ('03 & '04 models). Not even now with the C55 coming out. I have checked with 5 different dealerships in CA and have not come across anyone willing to budge below MSRP. I don't know how these other guys say they got $1K off here and there. Maybe they didn't realize this was made up some where else in the deal. ? List the name of the dealership though. I'd be interested in who it was.
I also talked with Mark Newton @ "House Of Imports" (who is a member of this forum) and he seems to be a fair guy. He's promised me more info on the C55 when he gets pricing.

Was it a '03 or '04?
How many miles?'
Again, once it's all said and done, I'm sure they are making up for it somewhere in the paper work - maybe money factor/interest rate. I've been told by all dealers "there's no reason to discount the C32 at this point" so if anyone is discounting it for $5K...there's a reason for that particular car, other than them just being "nice" and all.

C32
Before I got mine I almost nailed a deal on another C32, albeit an 03 model. It was at Claridge's in Fremont, CA, and there was a desert silver 03 sitting in the showroom. I was able to get 4K off MSRP but decided to pull out of the deal in the last minute. I think it was because it's an unpopular color choice and it lacked bi xenons. The funniest thing was it showed up in San Francisco about 5 months later when I was dealing on my 04 :O.
