Different tires on the front and rear
My rears are out of tread and need to get some new tires. My fronts still have a lot of tread left, so I would like to keep them on. I currently have the Pirelli Pzero somethings on both front and rear. Will I have problems if I get a different brand tire in the back? I am thinking of getting the Goodyears in the back. Does anyone have problems with those tires rubbing with 19's and H&R cupkit? Please help.

Hey Chris!
You have PZero Neros all the way around. I would go for some Pilot Sport 2s, Toyo T-1s or Bridgestone S03s. The T-1s are really light, which would help shed some of the pounds which you added to your car with those monster (and very hot-looking) 19" wheels which you have.
I am in the same boat. . . my front Rossos are new, and my rears are toast. I plan on replacing my rears very soon with the T-1s or the PS2s. I don't think that it really matters much handling-wise if you have different tires on the front and rear.

white and whiter
typically it's not recommanded since each different tires are slightly different even if they have the same spec. I think it should be okay as long as you change both rears, but try to calculate the treadwear otherwise you'll be doing this change over and over again.

The Goodyear GSD3s are great, you just need to be careful sizing them as they run a bit narrower. Do a search here and on c32life and you should be able to find some good feedback as well as info on how to size them.

Chris:
Luke at Tirerack is the guy to contact, unless you want the Toyos (Tirerack does not carry the Toyo, and it is omitted from any of Luke's discussions about the best tires). If you want the Toyos, I think that Harris is a dealer? If you want any other tire, look at the wheels/tires/brakes section of this forum (click on MBWorld.org Forums above, and scroll down until you see wheels/tires/brakes/suspension).
If you want the S03s (supposed to be awesome tires, but very heavy) Costco online has them, with the added bonus of Costco's "no questions asked" return policy.

edgeracing.com has good t1s prices.
T1s are light, but they are noticably more narrow than other same sized tires. The difference between the S03 255 and T1s 255 is VERY large. My other complaint is that they are loud when they start getting a little wear.
Im thinking of doing the goodyears next time around, never tried them, but hear they are sticky as poo

Thanks S4iscool for the info about Edgeracing.com. Their website is awesome (gives weights for various tires/wheels). Made a couple of cool discoveries:
The PZero Rossos are the same weight, or slightly lighter than the Toyo T-1s. Given this fact, I will definitely stick with the Rossos (super quiet and smooth).
There is a wheel called a Flik "Lex" which Alex at Edge says he thinks fits over the C32 caliper. 18 lbs in a 17 x 8". $155.00 each. Looks very promising. He is double checking fitment, and will call me back with the confirmation.
