just got toyo t1s
Hey everyone, went with the majority advice and got the toyo t1s put on my ride. I like them so far but was wondering what tire pressure i should set them to. Any suggestions.
Also i want to get a wing, and rear bumber, harris told me lorinser doesn't use good quality parts so what are my other options. Anyone have pictures of brabus' rear bumber and wing?

For the T-1s on a lowerd C32 rock 35-38 too much pressure in those tires makes for bad tread wear and noisy tires. I go through a set every 6 months, pic is a T-1S Fire lol

38 cold should put you right about 45 hot in agressive driving for an extended period with ambiant air temp around 70-80 degrees. This is exactly where the tire pressures were today during a heavy driving session. Anything lower will just increase the understeer tendancies of the C32 and eat the front tires worse. Very little feathering on the Toyo's as compaired with other tire choices due to the rounded shoulder design and the 1.1 degrees negative you get with a lowered stance and camber correction bolts. 30-33 cold pressures will surely eat tires twice as fast on this car. The lower pressures produce a wider variance in tire temperatures.

...i'm still playing with the pressure to find my sweet spot...

Not running stock. RENNtech 18x8.5 w/ 235 40 18's front, and 18x9.5 w/ 265 35 18's rear. Carlsson RS suspension ride height set at 13.5" front and 13.0" rear as measured from center of hub to fender lip. Depending on your driving style and road surface temperature, 38-40 cold is where you want to be on this tire. I had them at 33 cold when I first put them on and they exhibited much more understeer at this pressure. Never saw over 40psi hot with that set up. The Toyo's need more pressure than some of the other performance tires. Every compound has its own sweet spot as well as every car and every driver combination. Experimentation will lead you to the right set up for yourself which should be close to this recommendation.

It will depend on what valve setting you have selected front and rear, but generally the front pressures will be equal or greater than the rears. I currently have 38.5psi at all four corners.

Free Toyos for me. Zep that sounds about what psi I run.
pics are FZ4's and did not work well with the C32 power, also old system.

Of course you have less understeer in your set up. You are running 3psi higher in the front. I have no center tire wear problems with the Toyo's and had no center wear problems with the GSD3's which I wore down to 0/32's with the same pressures. It is all in the way you drive the car. If you are prone to drive heavy footed in a straight line from a stop, then you will most certainly wear out the center portion of the tire before the outsides with more pressure in the rear. Less pressure and a heavy foot will wear more evenly and will hook up better. I have no interest in straight line driving and prefer to think of a straight line as only a transition between corners. If you like less pressure in your tires for your own driving style, than that is were you should run them if it works for you. If you find yourself in the twisties on your favorite back road or on the track, lower pressures with this tire will most definately provide slower times

The T-1S work good in the rain on the C32.
The Toyo FZ4 are death in the rain on the C32
I just checked my pressure, Its been very hot in So Cal.
I put 33psi front 36psi rear 6 weeks ago.
It's at 25psi front and 30psi rear
Rear T-1S 265/30/19
Front T-1S 235/35/19
Brabus 19 9.5 rear 19 8.5 front

First hand review...
Since SMGC32 and I are trying to make his car into a want to be BMW (goes fast and turns well -- this was a joke FYI) I took the car out for testing last Friday and I learned a bit about how it drives and feels. I drove my favorite section of road for 2.5 hrs straight and put 80+ miles of canyon driving on the tires.
Last time I drove the car it had 35 psi at all 4 tires and the car felt terrible. No grip, wiggled through each corner, and generally felt dangerous. At that point Steve and I both wrote the tires off as being terrible but we stuck with them and played with the pressures to see what would happen.
The T1-S is known to be terrible at low pressures. While some tires like 35 psi this tire needs to be at 44-45 when you are running hard to feel proper. At these pressures, the car was extremely neutral (don’t forget the Carlsson RS Kit) and the grip was nearly equal to the GS-D3 (but not quite). Tire wear is extremely even (1.2 degrees negative camber front 1.7 rear) and the car felt better than any C32 I have driven to date (my old car included). I have never felt a MB NOT understeer the way this car did. The car drifted and would rotate instead of plow. I had to change my driving style to compensate for the change in dynamic and I really enjoys the ability to power out of corners without the front end washing out.
Great car. The C32 can be set very well but AMG chose to go for comfort and safety. A few parts and well that characteristic is GONE!

Cyn,
Did I hear you right. You are satisfied with the C32 suspension setup on SMGC32's car. I did not think I would ever hear those words from you Now you guys need to experiment with brake pads and see if you can get the brakes to your liking.

Well I can see where you are coming from Zep..
I may seem like a ultra picky crazy man but I am not unrealistic. Clearly I have a reputation of being an irrational ***** on this board but frankly I think I am just a car nut who likes to discuss how cars drive. Maybe I just come across as being nuts...who knows.
The Carlsson RS kit did help steves car a great deal. The shocks seem to be a big help but it is still not perfect. We may try a different suspension set-up but this just shows how crazy we really are. With time we will have the car set and then everyone else can just follow in out foot steps and have the MB that beats the M3 at its own game. The Carlssons were set at 7 front and 8 rear (9 being the softest) and I feel it was a bit soft. Steve enjoyed the smooth ride on his 20 mph drive to work but in the hills it could use more stiffness (but still worlds better than stock). I will take the car out next week for some testing at 5 front and 6 rear to see how that feels.
But yes I do love his car now. At times I want my C32 back so I could put all the same parts on it and make it what I always wanted it to be. Trouble is my car had so many issues that it was not worth keeping. I always knew the C32 had a good chassis but it needed some better suspension parts to get there. Steve may do a rear subframe upgrade and put in some new bushings and if so, this car will truly be unstoppable. With this firm suspension you can really feel the bushings deflect and this makes the car feel skittish at times (under braking from 130 -- at the big track -- Steve said the rear was all over the place and the subframe kit fixes this issue).
As for the brakes...stay tuned...we have that issue being solved as we speak. Fade will be a thing of the past sooner than later!
So when will you come up to Malibu for a drive? Good weather these days so its driving season once again!

Send me an Email if you want to meet in the canyons one of these days. I have business in Van Nuys(not to far from the canyons) I can attend to M-F, so it could be during the week or Saturday/Sunday works as well.
