Carlsbad Raceway - May 15th
I wish I knew earlier this week.
Next time we'll plan with 1 week notice.
Here's my time slip for the day. outside temp. around 77-80F.
I'm on left lane. Right lane is my colleague with his 99' C5 on ET Streets + NOS. He was not too happy with his 60' ft. time.
I was hoping for 1.8-1.9 60' ft. myself but... sigh
maybe next time.

Nice time/trap speed Peter, especially for a rather warm day. What tires/gas were you running with? Any good kill/killed stories?
i put in about 5 gal. of 100 octane gas at the la paz 76 gas station on the way to carlsbad.
for the track, i put on my Mille Miglia MM11-2
17x8 wheels for the rear on nitto drag radials. in the front, i leave on my 19" bbs wheels.
w/out the nitto's, i can only do a 2.1' 60ft. time with my 19" dunlops at best.
I made only 3 runs yesterday. got there a little late.
1st run: 12.8 was w/ my colleague in his C5. from my previous post. he smoked me.
2nd run: 12.8 was against a old school muscle car which i beat by 1-2 cars.
3rd run: 13.0 was w/ some all motor civic. he ran a high 14 if i remember correctly. i don't have the slip w/ me right now.
I did 3 runs back to back. by the 3rd run, car was hot and i only did 108 ET. i also noticed as i lowered the tire pressure after each run, my 60' ft time and ET lowered too. lesson learned. don't lower the psi too much

What indicated pressure did you find to be too low for the Nittos?.
My 60' ft. time and ET got worse as i reduce the pressure.
at 20 psi, when i launch at about 1500rpm, the tires will skip a little bit off the line.
i'm pretty sure the ET went down due to heat. not so sure about 60' ft. times. maybe i just have a heavy right foot

i think 24 psi should be good for the nittos. anyone else have suggestions? I know every track is different so...
Kinda sucks that Carlsbad Raceway doesn't spray VHT
