I could trade my Volvo for it. There's two C55 at my dealer, both in mint condition. I'm thinking should I do it? Would I look stupid driving one? It's outdated by todays standard?

Its a simple euro muscle car thats not overly complicated so Id say its still a good car.
Make sure you get one that was cared for.
If you are getting one thats approaching 90k expect some maintenance to be done on it.
Speaking of Volvos, what do you have??

Thanks, I have the Volvo V40 -17 as my second car. It's my wifes actually but she doesn't drive often so I'm thinking trading it for the C55. It's just an impulse but I'm afraid to look stupid in it.

I love my C55, and enthustically recommended it to one of my coworkers today. The M113 is one of MB's most reliable/robust engines, and the W203 is a relatively comfortable and simple chassis.

I still think the C55 is 1 of the best looking sport sedans ever. Even my todays standards.
It is very very very dated in terms of infotainment features. Dont expect modern Navigation, Car Play, or Bluetooth Audio.
Performance isnt spectacular by todays standards either. But its still quick and at around 10k, Its probably 1 of the best cars available.

Great value on the used market. Especially if you find one mint and low miles that needs next to nothing.Amazing engine V8 getting harder to find now a days. Lots of go fast mods available however it is a Small compact car however. Interior quality is not great on any W203.

You know the c55 does have a very nice interior. Napa leather/suede seats and aluminum trim is pretty good quality. You can also find one with wood trim but I prefer the silver aluminum

I love my 2006. With a few good mods that I have done, it is a pocket rocket on the freeway.
Nimble, fast, and comfy as far as something with this wheelbase goes. Great torque down low, good exhaust sound, and very, very, fun to drive, IMHO.
Interior is not fancy, but quality and easy to sit in for long periods.
Also for a na engine, pretty bullet proof. Only minor issues with this one compared to some recurring major ones I experienced when I had my E55.
They are not something you find everyday, so if you have access to a well maintained one, go for it!

Great car! Reliable, classic look, nice interior (better quality leather than my C63) etc. Here's my old one for sale:

C55
I bought an ‘05 C55 last June and it was the a bit scary, but I love driving this car. It has the Eurocharged tune and resonator delete and it is so much fun to drive. 400 hp and lots of torque. Low tech for an AMG. No air suspension or dynamic headlights. Rides tight and firm. Good car.
