Orion Blue C32 AMG Mod Project - From Start To Finish
Hello my fellow C32 owners! I recently purchased this 2003 C32 AMG with 112k Miles on it in literally pristine condition, Past 6 years it has been driven 3k miles per year only in the summer and winter garaged. I want to make alot of changes to it first cosmetically and 2nd Performance, i want to make it as fast as possible without changing the engine. The car has been moded to 375hp with pulley i believe and something else (maybe ecu programming but not sure) Here is a picture of it to start:
Now Here are the parts that i have saved in my cart in ebay to purchase to update the looks to begin:
AMG CARBON FIBER SHIFT KNOB (Because OEM C32 one is faded and i don't want to get another one that will fade as well, also can't find one so if you know where to get one, please share)
Aftermarket Grill with Center Benz Logo
After market headlights (these looks like a mix of audi/bmw lights, i really liked how different they look, any better recommendations welcome.
After market AMG rims 18x8.5 and 18x9.5 staggered (what tire size do you recommend)
Here is the what i'd like help with:
1. Tires size recommendation for those size rims (18x8.5 and 18x9.5)
2. Does mercedes still sell the original OEM C32 Shift knob? and where to buy? but i think i like the one here better for longevity
3. I'd like to add a stereo to replace the one 1 din one (doesn't have navigation) what after market stereo is best to use without major mods, something more modern maybe touch screen as well
4. also ordering C32 new floor mats that i found to replace really worn out ones
5. any new recommendations cosmetically? or inside?
6. A list of performance mods must have to get that HP up to highest possible while keeping car safe to drive.
Thank you in advance. I will post pictures as i make changes to the car to show the group

I'm on 19's, but run 245/275s. They are both close at my ride height but fit the wheel arches perfect. Eibach springs are a great compromise.
DO NOT buy cheap CF lip off Ebay. It crushes in your grasp. Not expensive to buy, but cheaply made.

Almost all aftermarket Mercedes parts on eBay are cheaply made junk. Buyer beware!!!!
For your tires with 18" rims you listed you might try 225/40/18's in front and 245 or 255/35/18's in the rear as one suggestion.

I also read to try 235 and 265. Is that for 19s or does that sound right. I rather get tires that stick out past rims a bit to avoid rim damage. What do you think? About the Ebay part. I know I'm saving all my OEM parts just for that

OEM parts are boring on the car, there are good quality after market parts, i've always got nice stuff for previous benz i had. Only thing to watch out for is the body kit, don't got cheap there

[QUOTE=C32MOOSE;7535465]nice steering wheel but the silver carbon fiber doesn't match my car, would look off.[/QUOT
C32Moose.....
What color is your interior? Is it black, grey or dark grey? Picture's not definitive!
Here's a photo from the seller's car black interior prior to the installation of the gearshift knob!

It should be ok if you keep 18" rims, but if you go to 19"s with those sizes you could encounter clearance and rubbing issues with the spring perches.
Just a guesstimate on my part but based on other threads discussing tires and rims, it could be tight with 19" rims.
Others who are currently running that combo will hopefully chime in on whether or not it clears everything.

that's not the actual picture of my interior door, i just got that off google to show you the colors of the seats, my doors don't have any siler on them, all dark grey and charcoal colors. Trust me it would look odd in the car if i install this lol
