Post the details of your 2005 C55 AMG orders here.
Specify:
1) COLOR (EXT/INT) 2) OPTIONS 3) PRICE 4) ETA 5) Other INFO you've gathered.
I'll start it off:
1) Brilliant Silver/Charcoal
2) Bi-Xenon, Navigation, Rear sunshade
3) NO PRICING AVAIL. YET
4) I'm #5 on the WI Simonson list (Santa Monica, CA). The car is supposed to arrive mid-August to early September.
5) Regarding INTERIOR color choices... there are only two-- the charcoal and the light-grey interior. I wanted the charcoal/blue interior but was told that when the order was placed in the order bank, the drop down menu only had the two colors!

It's actually a car I'm ordering for a family member, but specs can't hurt:
1.) Granite Grey/Charcoal
2.) Anything and everything except for telephone
3.) Still no pricing (or EPA mileage figures, for that matter)
4.) #1 on the Smythe European list, ship with car docks on 6/16.
5.) Still no Parktronic!

Question on how these 'list' work:
If you're #5 on the list, are you #5 to say yes or no on the first car the dealership is receiving regardless if the car's specs is what you want or not? or are you getting the 5th spot to place a C55 order?

It depends on the dealer, how they want to handle things. If you're willing to put down a $1000 deposit, and the car allocation you want isn't built yet, they should customize it for you, otherwise something is fishy. With every dealer I've ever dealt with, your hypothetical situation would mean that you get the 5th C55 that they get, unless someone ahead of you cancels. So if #1 cancels, #2 gets next dibs on the car - if it's already built and not to spec, he's got every right to refuse it and hold on to his original spot, and the offerings go down to #3 and so on until no one wants to take the car. Then, the dealer would have a C55 coming to the lot that they'd need to sell. With smaller dealerships, having a higher spot number obviously means a longer wait as they do not get as many of the rarer cars as the larger dealerships do. This is kind of a haphazard explanation, sorry!

Im #2 on my dealers list, delivery date is sometime in late July. He told me he expected the price to start at around $52K, but that was a while ago, im going to call him & find out if there is any new info.

With regards to the price, I was told that they won't know what it is until the first car is received and they see it on the window of the first car delivered.
I've been having second thoughts on getting the first batch of C55's. My concerns are:
1) Interior colors. I hear that the two-tone interiors (blue and merlot) won't be available until 4-5 months later. I will be REALLY disappointed if they do indeed come out with them later.
2) 7 speed SPEEDSHIFT Transmission. I don't understand why the C55 doesn't have this. SLK 55 has this.
Anybody have any opinion or information on these issues?

I don't think the blue/merlot choices which were available on the C32 will not be available on the C55.

Does anyone know if C55T (wagon) will also be sold in the U.S? None of the dealers could give me a straight answer

fastneutron: I don't think there will be a C55Wagon, given that there was never a C32Wagon nor an E55Wagon (both W210 and W211). Also, for the E-class wagons, 2004 was the first year they introduced the "larger, V-8" engines in the US for their wagons-- the E500T.
And also, don't expect any salesperson to give you a straight answer (and question the accuracy when they do). I find that most enthusiast (ie. on these chat forums) are much better resources.

I checked the 2005-C Class brochure and noticed it listed the 320-watt Harmon Kardon System as standard on the C-55.
So I don't understand why there is an 'Entertainment Pkg' option?
