Small video clip of removed resonator

i had to trim the ending because the crappy mic built in the digital camera was getting maxed out so the playback was terrible.

short 590kb 15sec clip WMV

What does removing the resonator do to your warranty?

Nothing. You can't really tell it's gone besides the sound of the car. I don't the dealership, no matter how smart, would realize it's gone unless you said something.

That was at idle, and a little to much treble, and a blown bass..lol

It sounds insane going through the gears.

If you have a blind mechanic they wont be able to tell. All you have to do is look at the bottom of the car.

It will do nothing to your warranty.

great! sounds awesome. if you remove the resonator on the stock muffler, can you still change to an aftermarket muffler later on while putting the stock resonator back on, or is welding required for the removal? thanks.

Nothing
I must say I had my doubts about taking out the resonators, but your car sounds just so sweet! I really like that crackling noise.

The audio in that clip is not true. His mic pick'd up someone smoking crack in his garage.
It is a very smooth, semi deep tone, with a slight growl..

It sounds awesome in real life. I was following my wife yesterday in my M Roadster and we were having some real fun with plenty of full throttle operation. Anyway, the exhaust sounds awesome from outside the car at WOT. I have an Eisenmann Race Exhaust on my Roadster and while hers is not nearly as loud, it sounds just as good! The best part is the it was only $65 and mine was $1550! Hmmm, let me think who got the better deal?!

can someone show what and how much is removed? are the resonators replaced with stainless pipes in the same diameter of the exhaust piping?

it's one resonator almost 3ft long (before your muffler) ..i ordered it from burnsstainless.com since the shop was going to charge me alot more (i have 2" 3/4 pipe 16g but a 3"inch would work also) because the back end fits 2"3/4 but the front end is a little bigger diameter because of the y-pipe

thansk roozy...can anyone comment on any droning in the cabin? I would imagine that some droning would appear on freeway driving...expcially up a hill with slight throttle...

Thanks
