C55 Values

One sold for $17k a few months ago on BaT:

I doubt they'll appreciate. The only reason it would be a collectori is because that it's one of the last NA V8s in the c class, but then the w204 C63 would eclipse the C55.

Whats cool about the C55 is it was only made a few years ( 2005-2006 in USA) and they are a relatively rare AMG. I've seen more new McLaren's than C55s around where i live.
I think at some point really low mileage cars will be worth something but thats a loong way off i'm thinking. But for the money i think there are few other cars that come close for overall daily driver performance and comfort.

The BaT sales was definitely promising. I have what I'd argue is the benchmark for the high-end of the market, which I'll explore in 2025. I don't have high expectations. ~20k miles currently (which hopefully will be considered low - but will never be ultra-low), no rain/snow, optioned like no other, etc. Literally showroom condition.

Hi......Can you share with me the cost and part # for the power folding mirrors as well as the OEM illuminated door sills?
As for my '05 C55, I've added: Eurocharged Shorties & ECU tune; after-market C63 flat-bottom steering wheel including C63 AMG shift paddles, front hood colored AMG badge; substituted colored Affalterbach badge for MB star for trunk; made C63 AMG Black Series canards for the front bumper/fenders, installed CF front lip and rear diffuser; upgraded pitiful OEM rear calipers with new OEM SLK 55 AMG rear calipers and rotors; upgraded interior brushed aluminum trim with silver cf trim and interior colored aluminum AMG emblem for the gearshift!
I'm going to add coil overs adjustable struts as well as the folding mirrors and illuminated door sills, too!
Thanks......
Rob

Hello Rob-
Left mirror 203 810 75 76; Right 203 810 78 76. These are for option codes 249 (fold down in reverse); 275 (memory); 500 (power folding). You'll also need the inside control changed - but I'm not sure of that part number. I also don't have the illuminated door sills as they were a gift from the dealer that I was sourcing all my retrofit stuff from at the time. They had mentioned that only 3 kits for W203s were available globally at that time (about 8 years ago).
Great mods to your C55 - I also notice in your signature you have an '06 E350. Both great cars and since doing my balance shaft on the E350 I can enjoy it with peace of mind. The C55 is only driven about 500 miles/ year. I was looking back at my C55 records and the mileage on May 3, 2012 was 17,000.
Thanks,
Ken

Great looking C55. Really rare color combo and the steering wheel looks great.
One of these two part numbers should be what's needed for the interior switch assembly that includes the power folding mirror buttons: 203 545 0704 or 0904. A blurry picture of what you need is attached - note the buttons to activate the power folding mirrors at the top of the mirror adjuster.

Ken...
Thanks, again, for the kudos as well as the additional part #'s! I found the illuminated door sills with Gary at ForMyMercedes.com. He's selling 6 pieces with the //// AMG logo in either a white or light blue led lighting for $219 + shipping ($15) with a 3-week turnaround.
My C55's color is Tanzanite Metallic Blue and with the compound in the paint in certain lighting it turns to black or purple! When my daughter first saw the purple color at night when I brought home from the dealer, she called it the Purple Porsche Eater! lol

Very few for sale and low mileage is really unusual. As for values - search bring a trailer website for the latest sale and I think the right cars are headed in the right direction.
