Oil pan drain plug

Does anyone have any ideas how to remove the rear drain plug that has a rounded head? I just purchased the car and decided to change the oil/filter. Got under the car and found the rear plug head was rounded. I have a gator grip socket that bit really well but still couldn’t get the plug loose. Even had a breaker bar on the socket and still no luck. I thought about trying to chisel the plug but it’ll awfully soft aluminum. Has anyone had this problem and, if you have, how did you get the plug loose?

The rear plug seems to be a perpetual PITA for me. First time, I used a breaker bar and broke my finger by crushing it when it finally broke loose. I nearly did it again last time. I don't know why it's always so tight yet the front is no problem.

Different metals expand at different rates/amounts. I had a Porsche 944 that wouldn't release the oil filter unless the motor was completely cold.

Maybe a pipe wrench with a cold engine? I've used one before on broken bolts that still had enough length to grab.

Didn't think of the pipe wrench. good idea. I can't imagine why the plug is so tight. I just hope the previous owner didn't put some type of sealant on the plug face.

Weld a socket onto it?

I had to do this with a rounded steering wheel screw on my 202.

i’m looking at a couple of different bolt extractors. Looks like the plug head is aluminum.
