I know that Yakima has a roof rack kit that fits on the door jambs. You need a set of 4 "Q towers" (they accomodate round bars) and #99 mounting plates. Bar length is up to you. Easy to find used on ebay too. Good luck.,

I use a Thule rack with the square bars. Personally I would not want a hitch mounted to my car.

The only style hitch I've ever been able to find for a c55 attaches a single bar from the differential to the middle of the back bumper. No way am I using the pumpkin to help haul anything but ****.

That was the OE rack that is damn near impossible to find stateside. A bunch are on ebay.co.uk, but generally not worth the premium over a Yakima/Thule solution unless you are going to leave it on year round.

You should look into the Talon by SeaSucker. They have single and double (even triple) bike mounts. They use suction cups that can stick to any flat surface, and will hold your bike on your car. I've had one for 6 years and has gotten my bike through the Sierra's and up the Pacific coast on many different vehicles, which is the beauty of the system - it won't be obsolete when you get a different car.

Ive heard of seasucker..gives me anxiety thinking about how the bike is just held on with suction cups lol. I've always been a hitch man,but hitches are ugly. Roof racks are nice, but too much of an investment....seasucker might be the way to go...hmmm

I understand the anxiety with the suction cups, I was certainly anxious at first too. I stopped worrying after a few trips and a couple pulls to 80+MPH, those suckers were still stuck on there.

Check out this cyclist review, pretty good overview:
