C55 Headers from TS Performance?

Hello everyone, i bought these Top Speed Performance headers about 3 weeks ago ($280) and going to get them installed tomorrow morning 10am. Has anyone herd of this brand? should it be OK? Use Top Speeds gaskets or use the OEM?.......also running Speed43 airbox mod with K&N filters. Getting tuned Feb,20th

Thanks in advance for input!

From what I know, those aren't even technically headers. Those are shiny replacements almost exactly like what's come from the factory. Headers actually have equal length piping for each cylinder by making a straight(ish) shot from the farthest exhaust port and winding extra pipe for those closest equalizing the lengths.

I'd honestly cancel the install and return those as I don't see any gains from them happening. Get see Eurocharged shorty headers. Still work with cats unless you go long-tube, but that's another route altogether.

C55 AMG T with Kleemann K2 and some stuff: 414 hp and 576Nm :-)
Those are so called logs, bigger diameter might work. Kleemann sold logs for the mighty M156.

I sort of agree, I have a set of Eurocharged shortys on my C55 and they made a noticeable improvement in power and sound. Then you got this guy running 12.1s @ 113mph with all 4 stocks cats and shorty log manifold and no tune...

Hmmm sorry i haven't been online, I saw your message but i was already in the shop by then......i replaced them mainly because i had a leak in the headers gaskets so figured i would get something different (NEW) than buying used OEM headers. I hear a slight difference now (bit deeper) and i feel like i have more lower end torque than before. Could you find me some Eurocharged headers? i Googled and this all i found for C55. If the price is right i could just change again, cost to me is $200 for about 4 hours of work but of course i am there helping from start to finish.

Ok just got the car back last night and all i can say it wow! decent gain if you ask me. i feel the difference on all RPM ranges and gears. I only have air box mod done by member Speed43, K&N filters and these headers, everything else is stock.

Seems kinda down on power to start. This is my car, headers, x pipe, and a Eurocharged tune

So I hear somewhere that unless the cars ecu is tuned to take in more air, intake mods and filters wont make any difference because the car is set up to take in a certain amount of air. Car wont take in more air just coz you have k&n filters unless you tune the ecu??

An engine is an air pump, it takes in as much air as it can when it’s full thorttle. Tuning just adjust the fuel to add for the more air flow from filters, and headers. I’ve dynoed my car with no airbox, Mercedes air boxes flow really well.
