Car making knocking noises!!!!!
my car is lowered.
This means when I drive up a drive way, over a bump, or anything like that, I need to do it slowly and a little sideways, so I wont scrape
however, now when I drive over anything, I hear a noise that sounds like my bumper is hitting the pavement.
as I slowly go sideways to climb the driveway, I think i can feel my rear tire lefting off the floor and then slamming onto the pavement
my car did not always do this... any ideas on what is wrong?

i THINK i have the same problem as you... do you mean u feel like your wheel is off the ground and you cant get traction right? that is because the weight of the car is on only a certain wheel. so... try to go straight through bumps. trust me... you won't scrape.

ok, so my car's noise was diagnosed as my front wheel rubbing against the springs. the shop recommended that I get an alignment to remedy the problem......ok....... I went to get the alignment, but the PROBLEM IS STILL THERE!!!
heres the situation, I have brabus front and rear sway bars. the front sway bars are adjustable (loose and tight). up until 2 weeks ago, I had my sway bar set on loose, but it is now set on tight.
coincidentally, I did not notice this noise problem until week ago also.
could my sway bar "tight" setting be the cause of the tire rubbing against the spring? or is this all in my mind and 1 big coincidence?
this noise occurs in the front of the car when I make a turn into an incline surface, like a driveway.
ANYBODY???? HELP?!?!?! EVOSPORT GUYS?!?!?!

I have the same problem...
I have the same knocking noise coming from the wheel wells when I drive onto ramps a little sideways so I won't scrape...every time this happens I get out of the car and look underneath but no sign of hitting. Then one day when that same knocking noise happened, I happend to notice the yellow triangle with an exclamation mark light up in the dashboard....you guessed it! The knocking noise was the esp applying abs to that particular wheel with the least traction. I have 19" wheels with H&R coilovers and Evo Sways, before these were installed, not a problem (but then again, I wasn't going sideways). After I found out what it was, just like what Silva32 says, I just drive straight through and I don't hit anything (as long as you do it carefully).
Sorry if this wasn't your case. But for me, I can duplicate that knocking noise everytime I go over a ramp sideways. I believe it has something to do with lowering, and the esp sensors that are attached to the sway bars...
Try it and see if you see the esp lights up in the dash (flashes).
