what's the stock spring pad on our C32? i'm a little confused from the way you guys talked about the pads sounds like we all have different spring pads on our C32s.

yeah.. you got that right, there are 4 different spring pads they can use depending on the options you have with your car and manufacture date.

My 2002 C32 has #2 pads installed. Anyone in Socal want to trade their #3's for my #2's ?

You can tell which ones you have by looking under the car with a flashlight at the upper spring perch. The rubber pad will have "pimples" on the edge facing down. The number of "pimples" is the pad#.

my question is how the heck do you crawl under the car to see the rear spring pads... don't u have to lift the car up first?

anywayz, will get the car back from service tomorrow or thursday at latest. I'm gonna take it to TWS, and I'll talk to them and ask for their advice as well.

Like everyone else? I don't think anyone else has the RENNtech wheels on this forum? They are probably the most rare wheel on a C32 out there.

Cyncarvin32 had'em. He and his friend both had'em I believe. besides I like my cheapo rims. haha

anywayz, ***** I need opinions.

as you know I took the car in for service to get the front squeaking noise fixed, but they said the part won't get here till next monday at least. I want to get the spring installed this week so I can go and have a little photoshot w/ a friend w/ the M3 before he leaves the country for 2 months on Saturday. What do you guys think I should do? should I wait for the service thing to be done w/ or just install'em tomorrow. Will the dealership guys know if I lowered the car and not follow through on the parts change?

I got mine cheap off someone w/ c32 that just ordered the coilover and never used the RENNtech springs. They should be around $500-600 retail as I heard.

edit: need opinion still

Nice try Frank, but Canyon's wheels are now on my car!! Same wheels with two owners. Looks like we are both too cheap to buy new! or just can't pass up a good deal. The street price on the Monolite's are around $3,300.00

I will agree with you there. The ultralights are the ultimate wheel for our car at an ultimate price, but when you are spending that much, who cares!

so what do you think? should I wait till the suspension squeaks is fixed or just install the springs tomorrow and then fix the squeak. The service guy is going to call within couple days after he got the parts in.

Get the squeek fixed first so there is no warrenty questions asked and they will know that the squeek came from stock suspension causes. Install the springs at an independent mechanic who will charge you significantly less than the dealer.

yeah, but the thing is that I took the car in yesterday and they were suppose to fixed the squeaking already, but don't have the parts. So now they have to wait for the parts to get in and call me again to go in again.
