got it installed at the wheel supply and got ripped for $125. Probably could've got it cheaper if I talked to Sander/the owner. Too lazy to haggle and I was feeling sick and drowsy too, so I just want to get it done.

Are you guys running the stock AMG shocks with the Renntech springs? Would that shorten the life of the shocks? I wanna pick up a set of the Renntech springs also but was wondering if I need to pick up a set of shocks as well.

Thanks.

yes, I think most of us are all running stock shocks w/ the RENNtech springs. All lowering springs will shorten the life of the shocks it's just the matter of how much. The AMG shock should take it with no problem for as long as you own the car.

Hey Frank,
How's the ride in your car? Do you notice it's a little stiffer and do you feel the rides a little bumpier? Any suspension noise? I notice a noise once in a while. Just wondering.

Thanks

I felt it's a little softer actually.

where's the noise coming from? might be just dry bushing from the suspension. I had the front thrust-arm changed because it had a dry bushing on it and they just changed the whole part. I also got free alignment because of that...heh

I'm looking at Renntech and H&R. Will the shocks hold up juss as well on the H&R springs?

squeeking

rareamg, frankw, andy.....just fyi. I too had that squeaking on my 02, when i took car for it's 20K mile service i mentioned and right away i was told it was the sway bar bushings. they were changed - the mouse is gone!

shocks tend to degrade slowly and subtly over time......i will do the renntech springs -prob after winter but i wondering if i should replace all the shocks....might be pricy tho...

the renntech springs have a spring rate to match the stock AMG shocks!!! H&R will be a harsher ride!!

To give you an idea of the price all the shops in Atlanta are qouting me ~$400 for the springs and $100 for an alignment. I am trying to find a place where I can rent a spring compressor or a place that will not try & rip me off.
