no test drive. This dealership is way old school and didn't bother to ask me for a test drive even though they know I'm a frequent new car buyer. If they are not serious about selling the car I'm not serious about buying it. This is not the dealership I bought my E-class from and only went due to the C55 sitting on their showroom floor.

On to the car, the sound is worth the price of admission! It sounds very authoratative, much better than my 01' Vette. Deep and thoaty it was spine tingling, goose bumpage noise! Fit and finish is exceptional. Nappa interior is exceptional. Alcantara is cool. The HK and NAV interface is right out of my E-class. The HK sounds very good, puts the Bose system of yore to shame and then some. The car looks great, a nice refresh from the C32. Looks so much more aggressive with the 18"s. There was nothing about the car I did not like, well maybe the price but what a ya gonna do?

I would opt for charcoal interior with birdseye and if available get multi-contour seats, other than that I have a lot of interest in buying one, timing sucks but maybe later this fall. Congrats to those who are drivers, its a beautiful car and then some.

Not to diss the C32 but the whole package is a huge step up from the C32. Interior is much improved, no comparison between Bose and HK, upgraded Nav, steering mounted shifting, true manual mode transmission, no s/c clatter, awesome exhaust note, 18"s, new styling. I understand if you have a C32, but I for one would consider upgrading, its that nice.

The car is plain sick! I drove mine today for 98 miles and the sound is so sweet! The car is perfect in my opinion.

interior are cosmetic, so it's not a big deal. The only thing I would want from the C55 is the shift buttons on the steering wheel. the new shifting mode is not that big of a deal either because I find the shifting mode in the C32 enough for me to use. my exhaust sounds pretty deep and narly w/o the resonator, and I've got the 18's already. Performance wise, the C55 will probably be better, but for that much money lost in the trade and two year spent behind the wheel of the C32 there's not enough motivation for me to move on.

IF I don't have the C32 already, then the C55 is a no brainer. BUT w/ the C32 in the garage I'm not looking to get something that's only slightly improved and not light years ahead like the E55. I'm sure most of us C32 owners feel the same. Some might upgrade to the C55, but it's their choice. Personally I rather wait for something else. besides I just started modding my car, might do some engine mod in the future as well. And when I do that, I may be kicking some *** too.

anywayz, C55's still a very nice car. Congrats to those who can own it.

Dang, I payed 10K less for my new 04 C32. Doesn't have the nav or bi-xenons, but still... Did MB raise the price? Or is this dealer inflation?
