2004 Mercedes Benz C32 AMG - Pewter Metallic
Good-bye
2004 BMW M3
Well it's been fun for the past 9 months. I just traded my 2004 C32 in for a 2004 BMW M3. I really missed having a 6-speed, and the "flash" of a fast car. My Pewter C32 was very nice, and very fast, but the quality was very questionable, and I was getting very weary of taking it in for service. 13 visits in the last 9 months, including a complete replacement of the heater box because of major mildew build-up. With all this considered, I cancelled my 2005 C55 order.
Anyway, my new M3 has all options including 19" wheels. Talk about flash!
Take care all.

but quality issue you won't get any better w/ the BMW. TRUST me I know. I had a 00 328Ci before. Hope luck is on your side now w/ the Bimmer I had better luck w/ the C32 than my old 328Ci.
anywayz, get some GruppM titanium exhaust!! that'll make killer sounds!!! My friend just put it on his ride and it's amazing.
btw, I trust you already have an account on E46fanatics.com

Congratulations on a great purchase. You won't regret your trade since it was probably what you wanted in the first place and thought you would try an auto four door to see what it is like outside Bavaria. As a C32 owner, your future information is of great importance in representing an accurate and honest accounting of the differences between both cars in all of their aspects, and a follow up/stay in touch with this forum request would be greatly appreciated.

....happy motoring...
I'm in kinda the same boat....miss my manual tranny.
next few weeks i'll finally be able to drive an m3. the salesguy will let me run his personal m3 6 spd and i guess he'll reciprocate with my c32.
depending on the outcome i may go for the new clubsport version and pick up in munich for some euro touring.(and mucho track days at lime rock).
my c32, purchased 2 yrs old, now with 17,000 miles has been totally trouble free. build date was 9/01.
....i always liked the phoenix yellow for the m3. we'll see, no rush....
vrooom....7900 rpm....snick....vrooom..7900rpm......snick...
ahhhh. enjoy.

SLK32
Congrats, it is a gorgeous car in Imola Red. The M3 is much sexier then the C32 and has a great interior. However, owning both, I can tell you that each car has it's advantages. I would have a hard time picking just one to own. Of course, the power in the C32 is addictive and will eat the M alive. But wait, the chassis is so well balanced on the M and the control feedback is near perfect.
I could go on for hours! :p Every garage needs an M and an AMG...yeehaa!

If I had the cash, I wouldn't mind having both an E46-M3 and the C55(on order). I'm not liking the new 7 & 5 series from Bangle-Motor-Werks, so I don't expect much for the next-gen 3 series. The E46-M3 is probably the best looking BMW of all time.

2002 M3 Cab, 2005 C55 AMG, 2007 B7 RS4
Thanks for the post, I finally decide what to put into my garage.
I currently driving the E46 M3 Convertaible and I've ordered a C55 and SLK55 for my wife. my plan is to sell the M3 later and get the SLK55 when it arrive.
But I always love my M3, I been drive it over 2 years and never have problem.
And the look and style is unmatch, the SLK is nice but I think it just like
CarlJ said is better to have both M and AMG in the garage.....but now I'm worry to have both black to take care of ( Carbon black & Diamond Black )
