will these wheels fit c32?

Hi,

I just saw these wheels on the classifieds and was wondering if they will fit our c32.

They are from a SLK.

set of HRE 526

18x8.5 et 35 front
18x10 et 35 rear

I am thinking that the rear will not. Can you wheel experts please let me know.

Will the fronts fit?

Thanks.

Not perfect

My BBS 8.5 ET30's almost touch the strut, these 8.5 ET35 fronts will be 5mm closer (will touch the strut = spacers reqd).

My BBS 9.5's are ET32, these 10's are ET35, they will be 9mm closer to the strut AND 3mm closer to the wheel well (some rubbing on the wheel well) = Pull the fender for sure, at least 3-4mm.

Prasith, where are your stock wheels? These are perfect for your track days and you can run the RA-1's! Forget the BBK for now and run the R4-R's.

thanks steve.

I am running on my stocks right now. I like the victoracers but they seem to be out of stock so I may just go with the ra-1.

I have a few questions about tire sizes.

I have noticed that these are the available tire sizes with RA -1 in 17".

Front

235/40/17
235/45/17

Rear

255/40/17
275/40/17

A few questions? Right now 245/45/17 Kumho does not fit with the carlsson's on the front. Do you think that the 235's will be a problem. Do the RA-1 have a more rounded profile like the other Toyo Tires or are they square like the Kumho? Also do you think there will be any issue if I reduce tire height a little bit and go with 235/40/17 in the front? I am concerned about the tire rubbing against the adjustable collar if I go with 235/45. I don't think there should be an issue with less tire but it seems like ESP may act up if I do that.

Also for the rear do you think that 275 will fit on the rim and without rubbing? I may go with 255 anyways since it will probably be a better balance but its hard to say no to more tire if it fits.

And last question (I promise) where do you get your toyo's from? I can't seem to find many places that carry the RA-1. I ideally need these tires as soon as possible since I have 3 track days coming up in august.

Thanks.

Call Edge Racing in Florida. They are closer to you and shipping should be less. As for the ESP problem we have been discussing, several forum members have upgraded to 235 45 17 / 255 40 17 from the stock sizes. To all of you that have done this, how have these worked out? Any ESP problems? I would run the above mentioned sizes and not the 235 40 17 as their diameter is 24.40 and this is over the .50" threshold. The 235 45's are 25.32. The 255 40's are 25.03. 225 45's are 24.97. 245 40's are 24.71. The stock differential front to rear is .26" with the fronts being larger. The Toyo's front to rear differential is .29" with the fronts being larger. It is almost an exact match with a .03" differential. I hope ESP is not this sensitive. The front to rear difference should not be an issue, but the only thing I can think of is that ESP wants to calculate a certain number of revolutions per mile and the upgrades sizes will roll a few dozen more times in that time frame. If you 235 45's don't fit for some reason, I will buy them off you, for a discount of course!

ok that sounds like a deal.

just talked to edge racing. The price is pretty good but still more expensive than my kumho's. At this point i don't really have a choice I guess.

Would you be interested in some slightly used Kumho's? I can give them to you at a firesale.

If the Toyo's don't work I am just going to run street tires on my car from now on. I have had it with all this tire fitment issues.

Also I sent you my email on a pm I had some BMW questions as well I wanted to run by you. Do you mind sending me a mail when you have some time.

Thanks.
