FrankW I like your color coded grille. I had mine done a year ago, and still like the look.

Dammmmit...!
Every time I convince myself Silver was the right choice, someone shows me why I love black cars (went through a period that all cars in the family were black, save and except a red one)!

Frank, it looks FABULOUS! Btw, I recall one of the earlier black c32 owners who "taped" their grill with special auto vinyl black out tape. This way he would replace whatever areas became abused. I actually did my grill, temporarily, in black electrical tape, BUT it looked like KAKA with the silver.

When I was considering my c32, one of my other choices was black, to which I was also going to black out the grille & "gun-metal" colour the badges so they could be 'quietly' seen.

ENJOY, it's your KAR!

lol, I love black, but it has it's drawbacks. The swirls are easier to see, waterspot are easier to see, stone chips are easier to see, and i die a little every time i see some new scar on the car.

A brave move that seems come out alright. Congrats.
Would you consider to paint the wheels to black too?
Would you consider to put a big CLK star onto the grill?
So exciting to know...
cnt
waiting and waiting for my black center 19's.

no really into the big star on the grille cuz i think they look better with the coupe.

ac556f, that's one hot E55!!

Does anyone know if there is an aftermarket grill, without the big tri-star in the front, that doesn't have the chrome on it? Everyone is telling me that the paint will chip off super easily because the chrome can't be roughed enough to hold the paint. Most shops have just flat out refused to do it or won't guarantee their work.

I saw one w/ flat black surround plastic grille at TWS when I got my springs installed, but that still has the star on it and some chrome strip. I asked'em what car it was for, but the guy didn't know. LOL
