yeah, that's what I have. I'm using the #2 pads right now, so with the #1 pad it should be lower in the rear.

I think Jon has that same tint. I saw it in person and looks great. I wish I did it earlier before i got my regular tint.

Frank,

Where did you get the tint done? Also, if you don't mine me asking, how much did the job run you?

BTW, looks good and glad it came out of service in one piece!!

There are different regulations governing how auto glass can be tinted in each and every state.

Police are very strick in some areas here about the tint on the front windows. They will make you peel the tint off to fix the ticket if they catch you. However, you can have the rear side & back windows as dark as you want to go!

Well here in LA it's relatively safe to have tint in front. Half the cars have them, and the cops mostly leave you alone. In other counties/states things can be quite different though.

How much darker does that titanium tint go? Also do a serch on the scratching issue. There have been many topics about this. I know one guy not to long ago posted how to directions of taking off the door and making the fix yourself because i think they where comming across people going blank when they where talking about there mercedes scrathing.

very nice Frank.. looking sharp. However i am curious as to what resisted you from doing the same shade all around as there is not much significance (as far as transparancy) to the visual eye from ~45% to 35%.

Frank, I'm not sure b/c I have not done it yet myself. If you googled it u can find various sources.

My tint guy has advised he found some other felt type material that should work (from the fabric store). However, I will not be rectifying my problem until after my Cali trip.

If you look closely at your door you will see that the upper window frame channel (where the upper part of the window sits between when fully closed) has a "soft" felt-type material. However, the lower window guides, which the window slips down inbetween (and where you would lean your arm over if you were a low-rider )are of a harder rubber material which will scratch the tint.

Good Luck & let us know your progress.

neal, it's not a cali thing. it's just me...haha

AMG BRED, I dunno...just didn't want 32 all around I guess.

deuce, I think they have as dark as 5-10% tints.

oh yeah, btw, I asked the tint shop owner who has a S-class him self says that by using those air duster often on the inner seal, should keep the film scratch free.

ok.... not a believer however.

My tint guys said the same thing ... then they had 4 MBs in the last several weeks suffer the same thing. I actually had one "never-opened" window (drivers rear) that I opened-closed (+/- 10 times) in front of the tint shop owner ...and sure enough
