C55-Engine sound

C55-Engine sound
I only once heard the C32 engine sound when the salesman turn on the ignition and opened the front. I did not buy the C32. Now, I am waiting for my new baby C55 from June's production line, and I am just so eager to find out from someone here what is the engine / exhaust sounds like on this baby... ?

C55 has a very nice exhaust note... even nicer then my C32s in my opinon!!

Thanks for reply. I am sure you know how I feel when I am waiting for my
second MB which is to be an AMG ! I heard sound from an E55 in the street and felt that it was like a Porsche turbo. I probably heard C32 too and I would recall it was relatively 'quiet' , or am I wrong ?

That Porsche turbo sound is probably eminating from the supercharger whistle disguising the V8 growl. The N/A AMG 5.5 V8 in your C55 sounds awesome especially in the CLK55, the C55 shouldn't be an exception

V8 sound vs V6+S/C whines, V8 wins.
even tho engine sound's not that great for the c32, the exhaust note is pretty good after you chop off the resonator...LOL
btw, the M3 engine sound is very quiet untill it gets to 4-5k rpm like all BMW i-6 are. once above 4-5k rpm, the engine sound is amazing almost like a pure bred race car. that's from my experience from my friend's car btw. oh yeah, and also the rev matching sound when downshifting done by the SMG is amazing too.
the AMG V8 will sound more like a muscle car w/ whole lot of grunt.

Yes. that is exactly what I was hearing on my friend's M3 few days back.
Truly getting a dear AMG than M3 expects more subtle deep bass exhaust sound.
