C&D says it will be a rare bird, maybe a good investment for later Concours, because it will be RARE.
Crossfire already has a reputation as a "too cute coupe" without the manual, but with a too stiff suspension. You can buy a Corvette for the price and be a lot happier.
So all in all, we can be complimented that SRT division chose the motor, but you won't see many around town. So on this one we can cool off a little.
But I will say this, choosing AMG, is sort of like having a beautiful but unfaithful g/f, nobody knows who she will be 'doing' next. So just enjoy the ride, and don't get too emotionally involved, literally.

As for the Xfire SRT, it will still be a handmade engine, because I doubt they will sell more than 1000 a year.
I must say I was impressed with rigidity of the body, there was hardly any cowl shake so common in many convertibles. Car felt well planted and would swing out it's rear end with ESP turned-off. In essense a R170 SLK.
Unforunately, it has the same faults for anyone over 6'3''. The interior is simply too cramped. The quality of material makes you afraid to use any of the switches in a fear that they would snap.
With SC engine it could be a hoot, especialy with Stage II upgrade. I generally like art deco styling, but it all matter of taste.
