Sound System Rattling problem?

When I play a song with a decent amount of bass, I hear a rattling from the rear speakers. At first, I thought it may have been the speaker, but last night my brother was in the back seat and told me the panel was rattling around the rear speakers (below rear windshield).

Anyone notice this also?

I had a problem with front driver side door speaker. MB ordered a control module for windows(tech said rattling coming from module).

There is no way that it is the first aid kit. It is on the drivers side rear pocket of the trunk. The noise is coming from the speaker deck. Not much of a first aid kit. BMW does a better job than that.

huh? what are you saying? There is a first aid kit, and a damn comprehensive one. Its in the rear parcel shelf on the passenger side. It looks like a speaker grill but its not. They made the first aid cover mimic the subwoofer grill. Take a look at it, the hinge rattles. Fix it.

I had the same issue. I took it back and they could not replicate the problem, so I turned the radio on for them! Anyway they replaced the rear deck and the problem still occured, after another day of them trying to figure it out, it turned out that it was the subwoofer mounting bracket.

** not sure what they did however the problem is fixed and I have not had any rattle from the rear deck since **

hmm,

I have the same problem as well. When I took it in they said it was normal and didn't know what to do.

They played my cd on another C-Class and it did the same thing.

Can it be remedied or is it a fault across our cars?

once i had my finger severed off while in the car, it was -30 outside and snowing... it was nice to access the first aid kit from inside the vehicle.

C32 first aid kit

I have a very early '03 (bought in Oct of '02) and its first aid kit is a tiny little one in a black pouch that resides in my trunk toward the rear bumper in the little well on the side. I haven't looked at my rear decklid but I presume the car doesn't have two kits!

I looked closely and I only have the ****ty small black bag first aid kit that is velcro'd in the trunk at the far back passenger side. I have no speaker grill looking compartment. Is it because I am Canadian??

Went to MB this morning. The rattling is being caused by the plastic cover over the speaker being loose.

Thanks for all the replies!

in my car, the rattle comes from the rear electric sun shade when playing at semi-high volumes. it rattles when it is up or down, but when it is actully moving, the rattle stops.
