OE C55 Airbox for sale?

2001 Mercedes E55 AMG
OE C55 Airbox for sale?
Hi guys I recently bought a 2001 Mercedes E55 AMG and told from my good friend that helps me with the car said that swapping my airbox with a C55 airbox will add about 12 hp. If so, does anybody have an extra one or is anyone selling one that I can buy off them?
i doubt you will see any real increase with airbox. biggest difference between w210 e55 and w203 c55 in hp is due to little more aggressive cams and higher compression ratio. these explain most of the 20hp diff between the cars.

It wont fit without removing the water drain vent in the hood. Go look at my build thread on the 210 page. Build a custom intake dont waste your time, or have Speed43 build a modifed stock airbox

so this has been discussed a lot in the past, but new m113 amg engines generally dyno around 10-15 higher than the older series engines. we know cams are little different, and i recently compared the pistons and they are slightly different. none of these have a big impact, its only 10-15 whp. torque between both cars are generally the same for most of the RPM curve. anyway, i dont think there is any hp to gain from airbox. eurocharged suggestions are best and cheapest options.

maybe it comes down to the dyno, but i generally agree with you its pretty much same. difference is within dyno variation anyway. whats even more impressive is how these cars even with lot of mileage are still running strong.
btw do you know if eurocharged is coming back to north east for dyno tune day?

About 300$ I think, you don’t have to use carbon fiber you can you stainless pipe, that will make it cheaper. I have also changed up the filter now, with a Rotofab filter and a velocity stack from K-tuned that allows me to run a 6inch filter.
Not sure if you will have to retune yours? Have you ever dynoed it? What are your AFRs? I think I made a thread about the intake it’s self.
