Well **** does happen. Looks like you need the pumper re-painted, a new rear tail light and a painted fender. The dent on the fender is fixable (very easy). Looks like it will not need any replacement part for the bumper but I could be wrong. I would say.... oh... 1200-1400.

Rear light - 300 (ish)
Bumper painting - 500-700
Rear fender paint (with dent removal - will have to blend into the C pillar and rear door FYI -- best to make it all match!) 700-800

My E55 was keyed down the side and that cost 1900 to re-paint alone.. some people!

Good Luck

How did the damage occur on the rear of the car, both taillights and the right side of the car? Was it valet parking?

I am sorry to know that.

The first two photos show that the left taillamp is damaged. The third photo shows that the right taillamp is damaged. Unless the third photo is flipped reversed by your digital camera, else, it looks like both sides were hit.
In this case....it is a criminal damage.

The damage was only on one side of the vehicle. The first picture is just taken from a different angle than the next two.

I spent some time yesterday tryoing to see "how in the world" Mr. cntlaw could see the first pic to "seem" to be the "left side... well... finally I made it...

Imagine yourself looking straight at your trunk right in front of the MB star.. then move just one step sideways to the left... imagine that angle looking at your LEFT tail light... if you look at your first pic, it would seem that what actually is the upper side of your right side fender it the actual trunk!... lol.. boy it took me time to see that!...lol

"Looks" like is the left side:

The other two pics look the right side...

Looks the right side

Yeah... definitely I had too much time on my hands yesterday to see what Mr. cntlaw...

Mr. cntlaw:

IT IS the right side man!... LOL (ALL 3 pics!)

Cheers!

Exclamation Perspective

Mr. AlBoston:

LOL...I "had" to "figure" out what Mr. cntlaw would refer as "left" side... LOL... (you have no idea.. I sat "hollywood" style with my hands on my car making the "bracket" to keep the perspective on the diff angles on my car... just cause to me all pics looked the right side... just the first pic was a diff angle...lol)...

Once I finally saw it, I was a bit surprised myself:

1.- The resemblance to the actual left side

2.- How slick and cool is that engineering that the actual angle in which the pic was taken would allow the effect to look like the actual left side! (that impressed me more )

Cheers!

Exclamation Perspective reloaded

The "main" reason why it took me time to figure it out was because if it was the "left" side; as I was trying to "force" myself to see it, on what woult be the bumper "strip" towrads the corner you should see the gap between the actual rear strip AND the strip that actually comes from the side of the bumper itself... if you look at the first pic, you will see is a smooth surface all the way to the corner, that is NOT how the strips are "if" that was the left side tail light

(Too much time... I will have to all hearterly agree with Mr. AlBoston here... (but hey!, it was the weeekend!!...lol)

Cheers

How he (Mr. cntlaw) made that "boo-boo"... don't ask me... it took me time to accept and "see" why he woould have mistaken it the side of the car...lol
