C32 VS C55 @ Nurburgring (NEW) Laptimes For Reference

the C55 is much faster and more appropriate than the C32 they test
Now it is as fast as M3 on Nurburgring and faster than S2000 and 350Z which previously the C32 is slower 2-3 secs or so.
Maybe the weather condition is terrible hot (30 degree celcius) when they tested the C32
But i still can't acept the fact that C55 is so much faster than C32... look at the weight distrubution comparsion...

Minimal variances, I suppose....
After all, it still shows the W208 CLK55 as being faster around the Hockenheim track than both the C32 and the C55!

hmm I guess I didnt understand the post correctly..What I ment was in a straight line..lets say a quarter mile run...ive ran with a 350, S200 and G35 and beat them all by a few cars...but obviously in a track like that im sure other cars will have a better advantage..Well either way your saying the C55 handles better than the C32..???? thats wierd the fact that the C55 has more weight in the frnt..

street racing or drag racing are way different then a track. A 1000hp mustang will lose to a 160hp civic si on a track...

That just means that the new M3 is going to beat the C55 when it comes out. Why does MB continue to play catch up with BMW? Why can't they just take the lead and keep it!? At least with the 3 series vs. C-class.

You have to remember that MB upgrade to 18" wheels/tires and changed the geometry of the suspension a bit, as well as the shock/spring rates, all of which leads to improved handling over the C32. I would like to see a comparison of a stock C55 against a Carlsson RS equiped C32!
