So I have a question...
The Super Charger off the E55. Wonder if that would bolt right onto the C55. The motors are similar, I am wondering if AMG offers this SCer for sale aftermarket, and what we could used for a motor management system to get more fuel to the motor.... Just a thought. Wonder if it would work.

ya i dont think you can fit the e55 supercharger into the clk hood. there is not enough room.
Just go with like renntech or kleemann for upgrading your engine~!

it's both the same, the C55 borrowed the CLK front-end to house the bigger V8Originally Posted by AznxKCBoy

Think about it... C55 is lighter than the E55... With thatsort of power output....

The C55 has 11:1 compression while the Kompressor V8's are 9:1 compression. The AMG blower would not work well with the car. YOu could go with RENNtech or Kleemann but I would still want a 10:1 compression motor or lower to ensure a near stock life span.

Thats exactly right. The supercharged engines were adapted to be supercharged with lower compression, and if marketing materials are to be believed, additional modifications (forged connecting rods, etc?). I have no clue whetehr the C55 has the additional modifications, but the MBUSA web site makes it quite clear that C55 has a higher compression ratio. I don't think the motor will survive 1 bar of boost at stock compression.Originally Posted by CynCarvin32

Well renntech has a highboost supercharger which gives a nice 530hp! and 548lbs of toqure! Of course its almost 40 grand but it will be one badass car! much faster then a E55! If u wanna spend less for like 18k there is a lowboost which gives 450hp and 450lbs of toqure. I bet this will beat a stock E55 also. Btw, i thought renntech uses the same supercharges that AMG does on some applications. But they obviously have to lower the compression.
Btw, one of these superchargers is DEFINITELY in my future!

You can try Whipple Superchargers they design around a screw type supercharger. If they cannot help you I am sure they could point you in the right direction.

a whipple (centrifugal) supercharger is far less superior then the twin screw lysholm style IHI/AMG supercharger or the other low boost twin screw charger that Kleeman and RENNTech uses with a smaller housing... honestly, high compression motors arent meant for high boost (as far as reliability goes) but a low boost setup and the proper tuning can make it as good as a high boost low compression setup. I say you get the low boost from RENNTech and call it a day. 450hp and 460lb ft of torque is all you need to take out any stock W211 E55.

If by "whipple" you mean Twin-Screw, then yes.Originally Posted by BenzoAMGpower

meant as in the manufacturer of the charger itself... like IHI manufactures it for both AMG and RENNTech!!Originally Posted by CoryU
