C32 vs new 5-series

Used C32 vs 1 year old 5-series (new body style)...anyone opinions? Might be kinda biased seeing that this is the C32 section but ah well.

There is no comparison. One is a large luxury sedan, while the other is a high-performance vehicle. M3 vs C32 vs S4 would be a valid comparison. Your question is the equivalent of asking which is better, the C32, or the E320?

They generally love the way that it handles with the Sport Package (Active Steering), and it is quite luxurious. The iDrive isn't nearly as irritating as it is in the 7-Series... it's actually quite fun if you're a fan of gadgets. IMO, nothing looks better than a dark metallic E60 5-Series with xenon lights at night.

I agree with FrankW

Although overall the new 5's styling is either love it or hate it. I like the old styling better looks meaner.

wonder if dinan will make a supercharger for the 545i like they did for the 540i.. That would be one beastly *** car under warranty esp since the 540i supercharged from what I hear are faster then the stock M5s.

The full option new BMW 545i is USD8000 cheaper than the C55 here at home. The 545 delivers 333 hp yet offers much latest overall technology over an aging Class. I had once asked myself , why did not I get the 545 instead? It would be a great 'upgrade' from my 3 yr old ex-E320.
My answers to myself are pretty simple:-
1. new BMW (especially 5 series ) are ugly.
2. 545 popularity for a better reselling value is not as good as C55.
3. Who really cares whether you drive a 525 or 545 , unless it is a M5.
4. If I would want a straight forward E320 replacement, I will get the full options E500 which is better looking and offers airmatic suspension. The downside of the E500 is at home here cost USD25000 more than the 545 and only delivers 306 hp.

545 is the winner if one afters its interior space, newer technology, and then there is no way that a 545 will have a 'character' like the famous C32/C55. Simply speaking , one would look matured driving on a 545 than on a wild C32/C55.
